passsport validity...plz help!!!

my passport validity gonna expire in feb 2011,Iw'll have the interview next month for (I-R1 C-R1) visa,so do I must issue a new passport or the one Ihave is still available.thanks for helping.

I don't think you need a new passport. Why would you need a new passport when your passport expires in February 2011, and your interview is next month, which is June 2010? lol...

November 16, 2009: Sign-in Failed!!
November 16, 2009: December interviews already scheduled. Operator told me to wait for a possible January interview date. Call back in the 2nd week of December
November 30, 2009: Been trying to call NVC but line busy since late after noon. Finally, got email appointment letter from NVC with the Interview date of January 19, 2010. Yeppe Alhamdulillah>
December 24, 2009: Medical Done and report recieved the same day.
January 11, 2010: Medical submitted at VFS. They asked for: Copy of Packet 3, Appointment letter, and Passport. They told her to take a copy of I-864 and the documents submitted with it, at the time of interview with other proof of relationship documents.
January 19, 2010: VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 21, 2010: Visa recieved in mail (Package included passport with visa stamped, sealed big brown envelop to be submitted at POE immigration at the airport, and instructions to apply for SS Card)

USA
February 07, 2010: POE Chicago --> Very easy, within 45 minutes
March 02, 2010: SS Card recieved in mail. Welcome letter recieved in mail as well
March 13, 2010: GC Recieved in mail

January 29, 2015: N-400 Application submitted

Someone please correct me if it's more than 6 months.

i would suggest getting a new passport now before the interview so you don't have to deal with stress of getting a new one later AFTER you have a visa.

that's what i suggest.

you are very right Igot it thanks,this forum needs people like,not those who don't know anything and with thier replays they make the others worry by giving wrong informations.thank u again.

Get u'r new passport......as your visa will be on new passport.....and so you don't have to carry old one everytime with you.......

07-02-2020 - I-130 SENT
06-01-2021 - APPROVED

NVC
06-06-2021 - Recevied NVC case no. - case entered into nvc's system

06-08-2021 - AOS fee
06-08-2021 - IV fee
07-05-2021 - IV & AOS documents submitted online

07-19-2021 - received message from NVC about case can not be processed unless all civil documents are submitted (was missing police clearance)

08-12-2021 - submitted police clearance certificate - which was last document submitted to NVC

11-05-2021 - Case completed at NVC - DQ

03-31-2022 - Interview letter received

04-28-2022 - Interview date at mumbai embassy

If there is 6 month rule, then I think you should get a new passport, but make sure you have enough time before the interview.

Well, it's October now,

and

yer spouse has done nothing at NVC

and

you didn't have the interview.

so

Strongly suggest you apply for new passport, this month.

You won't need it for October, at all, so it's good to apply for new one.

Yes, get a new passport as the Visa will expire with the passport. I do not think they transfer the Visa from the old passport to the new passport.

07/07/09 : Married

08/18/09: I-130 Sent to Chicago

08/20/09: I-130 Received by USCIS

08/25/09: NOA1

09/22/09: NOA2

10/05/09: Received case# and gave emails

10/07/09: Received DS-3032 and AOS email

10/09/09: Sent DS-3032 email to optin electronic filing

10/15/09: Paid both AOS & IV fees

10/16/09: Received email electronic filing accepted

10/18/09: Sent AOS via email

10/23/09: Received email that AOS was accepted and waiting for IV

10/27/09: Sent IV via email

11/10/09: Signon to payment failure

11/19/09: Received email for interview - December 14th

12/14/09: Approved for Visa

12/16/09: Received Visa
