"At my interview, I was returned everything that was submitted to NVC (well, most of it) but nothing that went with the original I130. The pre-screener even showed me the wedding pictures I'd sent in with the first submission but she didn't give those back to me. "

where u said u did not get nything where u submitted with i-130??

I had sent 6 wedding pictures with the I-130.

The pre-screener had them. She showed them to me when I asked her if she wanted to look at our wedding pictures. She pulled them out and said, "I already have, I just want you to tell me what your wedding was like."

But, no they were not returned to me.

USCIS sends whatever you sent to them, to NVC after your NOA2. Once your case is completed at NVC, they forward the entire package to the respective embassies through DHL.

--No, my husband did not attend the interview as he couldn't get time off from work and besides, Mumbai doesn't let the USC petitioner in.

No, the interview is at the Embassy. You can collect the passport from VFS or have them courier it to you.

I had a very easy, breezy interview. Lasted less than 4 minutes. My pre-screener was kind of chatty, though.

Before the interview, your wife needs to go to VFS (her local VFS) and pay around Rs. 400 for courier fees. They may also ask her to submit some documents (photocopies). After the interview, either that day or the next, she can go to the Delhi VFS in the evening and pick up her passport using the fee receipt. Or else it will be couriered to her address within 2 days. You have to pay the Rs. 400 whether you pick it up in person or not.
