We had our interview yesterday in Bloomington MN. It was fast and short. The interviewer let me keep my I-94, she said it is still valid as well as my EAD card. This normal? Anyway, I checked our online status and it was updated today and my welcome letter was mailed yesterday.I hope i comes soonin the mail...

I'll write about what questions were asked later when I get home...

So here are some questions that were asked in our interview yesterday...

1. Information that was written in our application form I-485 like my name, address(and who live there besides me), my husband's name and birthday, his birthplace, where I was born. Make sure you know what you wrote in the application form I485.

2.Date and place we got married. Who attended the wedding.

3.If we met each other's families.

4.How many times I visited my husband here and the dates when.

5.How we met?

6.When did we see each other in person.

7.What's my step-daughter's name and how old she is?

Then she asked if we have evidence to show to prove our marriage..I organized it in manila folders and labelled each folder like our financial evidence ,health, car and life insurance folder, cards, travels.

I showed her pictures, emails, scrapbook. She took some copies like bank statements and our 2005 joint tax return. She also wanted to photocopy some of our pictures and she asked me to pick some but we decided to give her the original photos.(We can print them again)

Then she said she's going to approve us and wait for the card in 3-4 weeks but ussually between 1-2 weeks.

She also explained when I can apply for removal of condition on the permanent resident card, how long it will be valid and when I can apply for Citizenship.

It was painless interview. Just be ready and go to your interview with lots of evidence to show.

Congratulations!! When you get you GC just put your I-94 and EAD in a drawer somewhere.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

She was tall, slim with blond hair. Sorry I forgot her name.

I didn't get a stamp. She just look for my passport. She said she's not going to take my I-94 because it is still valid. I even asked her if she's not going to take my EAD too but she said i can still use it till I get my card. So maybe that is why she didn't stamped my passport.

I'll let you know if when I get the mail. I'm wondering why you only got a "touch" as an update in your online status after the interview.

Maybe after one week and you still have not recieve your card you can call them. She said wait 3-4 weeks to me to recieve the card.

Hope you get yours soon!!!
