So, funny, Diana was worried about not getting a packet from the embassy and wanted to call them. At a buck-fifty per minute to call I told her to wait until I heard back from my fellow VJers. After you all said 'don't hold your breath, you'd been waiting years' I told her forget it, just use the embassy on-line packet.

Well, Wednesday she went to Rostov in the old old-country to get one of the three(!) police reports she needs and to visit family and grandma. When she got back to Donetsk today guess what was waiting for her in the mailbox? Yup, the packet from the embassy!

FWIW, their mailed packet does match the on-line packet.

Back to topic--how does one pay the new-and-improved embassy interview fee? Cash? (Dollars or UAH?) Check? Credit cards? Money orders? Gold bars?

Per the instruction sheet the $350 fee can be paid at the Consulate and in USD

YMMV

Cash...UAH at any ProCredit bank. Show them your passport and give them you KEV number and tell them the type of visa. They will give you a receipt, do NOT lose the receipt. You can pay it anytime after you have the KEV number.

The medical exam is Cash but USD only.

Per the instruction sheet the $350 fee can be paid at the Consulate and in USD

They must have changed that Pay. Yes?

Yes, I just looked the the instruction sheet today.... It says you pay the $350 at the consulate in USD or if you have already paid the $131 at proCredit bank you will pay the balance due at the consulate in USD

YMMV

Interesting. You used to pay at the consualte then they moved it to the bank and now back. OK. So noted. Thanks.

Thanks, Guys. Yeah, I better review the instructions for current procedures. I musta been getting lazy here! Sorry. I know that with 11 days until I leave for UA my mind is more and more like jello--kinda quivers a lot and not good for much.
