I'm finally going to do it... after almost 5 years. Going to do the K1 Fiance Visa.

I leave this evening and I have prepared the docs that I think need her original signatures to take with me...

1) G 325A (5 copies for her to sign)

2) Fiance Letter of Intent (5 copies for her to sign). I'm taking 2 different variations as the guide/forms section on this site weren't real clear.

I'm not sure how this is supposed to be addressed so I am taking these 2 variations....

a)Below her name and address I have...

United States Department of Homeland Security

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

USCIS

Vermont Service Center

Attn: I-129F

75 Lower Weldon Street

St. Albans, VT 05479-001

and

b) Below her name and address I have

USCIS

Vermont Service Center

Attn: I-129F

75 Lower Weldon Street

St. Albans, VT 05479-001

I'm taking 5 copies of both variations for her to sign.

3) The last thing I will do is have her get 6 passport style fotos. How many do I need to bring back with me?

I realize there is more stuff I need before I can send the I-129F packet in, but it looks like that is all the siggys or things I need to bring back from South America. Everything else looks like it can be filled in when I return... i.e. my G-325A, my Fiance letter of intent, Financial support doc, etc.

Can someone confirm the above 3 items is all I need to bring back from my trip?

Lastly, I'm in Texas. I see that I am to address and send these to the Vermont Service Center. I also see where they are changing some things and it looks like they are going to start having people send stuff to the Texas Service Center beginning in June... which is now. I return June 8 and will most likely have all "my" forms etc together by the end of the month. Am I going to find that her Fiance Letter of Intent addressed to the Vermont Service Center is garbage and I will have to return again to get an origninal signature on a letter addressed to the Texas Service Center. Perhaps I should go ahead and take a letter and have her sign a letter addressed to the Texas Service Center. Anyone know the address? And if someone could point out which variation of the Fiance letter is correct that'd be wonderful. Ie. Is it supposed to say US Dept of Homeland Security and US Citizenship and Immigration Services on it. For what it's worth... this is the 3rd time in the last 5 years that I have said, "Let's go ahead and file for K-1 visa... and I just never get around to doing it." This time I'm really going to do it, but everytime this unknown in the Fiance letter has stumped me. I read and read the forum and don't see where it's really stumped anyone else. So maybe it's just me.

thanks

Hi there,

1) why five? you'll need one

2)U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is USCIS,

so it's variant a) without USCIS bit

3) you'll actually need one. But take all of them :)

As for Letter of Intent, as well as other docs, here's one piece of advice. Take lots of BLANK sheets of paper and have her sign them in the places where her signature would be in different forms or letters.

If by the time you are ready to file, some address changes or you reread a filled in form and see a typo or something, you'll just print another one on an ALREADY SIGNED sheet.

thank you kindly for both of the replys.

It also made me think of 1 more issue. My fiance's parents have sold their house and they are going to be moving in 2 months. They have not yet picked out a new home. Is informing everyone of her address change 2-3 months into the process going to be a pain? I see where there are 2 things sent to her in the process, however, I also see that they can be downloaded off the website... so no big deal if she never gets them in the mail. I assume that we will be required to submit some sort of change of address for her when it occurs. Is this going to be a huge hassle? Better off waiting till after she moves before starting the paperwork?
