I-134 Salary, income, and taxes

Ok guys, I'm a bit confused here.

I've already had my employeer sign a letter of my employment stating my salary. My salary is counted *before* taxes, right?

Regarding Question# 7 on the I-134 form, would that by my salary *after* taxes (medical and other expenses)? Or would it reflect my base salary as stated in the letter of employment?

So in a nutshell, both figures would be identical?

I work only one job and thus my only source of income.

Well your salary on the letter of employment might not equal your total income. The figure you should use is the same as line 22 of the 1040 Tax form which is Total or Gross income including gains from interest, dividends and capital gains (losses), business losses etc.

But "basically" the amount you enter on line 7 will be the amount of your total salary before taxes.
