CR-1/IR-1 and K-1 Interviews July Mtl

Hey everyone,

I was just wonderting from the last couple of months, have CR-1/IR-1 interviews been more towards the end of each month, or there's really no specific time in the month?

I just saw that some CR-1 interviews were given for the end of July, and I was told by the person from DOS today that "you're elligible for an interview date, but it looks like they're waiting for a date to open up"...

So I guess I'm just wondering if Montreal has a trend of doing K-1 early in the month and then CR-1 later in the month (wondering if there's still hope for a date in July rather than August...)

I was noticing the late month CR-1 dates also and pondered this...I'm holding out for July interview dates for K1s tho:)

Not sure how they have been working the schedules. I know that no CR1/IR1's were issued past the first week of the month.

Unfortunatley without someone researching and plotting this, it's a bit of a ####### shoot. You'll get zero good advise from NVC. Sorry NVC but that is a fact. I've been consistently told directlly by very nice and pleasant NVC operators that interviews are always done during the second week of each month for the following month. However when you look at people posting on here, you'll see that's not the case; that some got interviews in the first and second day of the month etc. I've pointed that out to two operators but they continue on with they schedule during the second week of each month and sometimes but rarely go into the third week. I was also told that they only scheduled for one month in advance. In other words May for June, June for July etc. Well I got notified May 27th (almost the last day of the month, hardly the second week) for July 27th interview. So in fact they do book differently than what they seem to be presenting to us when we call.

It just a matter of time and there isn't much consistency so just know your time is coming and it could be during any time of the month for the following month or the one after that.

Yesterday, the couple "A" was a CR-1 visa, and i saw some K-1 including me, and also a couple with a K-3 visa. So it's very possible they still schedule you for July! since we know K-1 and CR-1 doesn't get their interview dates the same day, but they can get the same appointment day, means they can still schedule K-1s for July!

Yeah, I see...

It's just so frustrating that there's absolutely no guideline of how things go with Montreal... You'd think that they would have more staff in Canada since we're so close economically and geographically but no... Seing how people from other country get their interview date in a month after their NOA2 was approved is demoralizing...

But oh well, trying to stay positive!
