The question is when did such behavior become covered by "free speech" in America? Whereas, free speech in pretty much every other first world [civilized] nation means to be able to voice your political views freely and without suppression period. Certainly not some broad-brushed say and do whatever you please, regardless of the consequences. Idiocy like this is certainly not considered some willy-nilly freedom of speech. These idiots would be arrested in a number of first world nations for being an nuisance.

Of course, not even for a fraction of a second do I expect that the Constitution will ever be modernized or at the very least the ambiguity be removed. After all, I have a better chance of consecutively winning the jackpot of both powerball and mega-millions before that happens.

Well I'll admit, the US court system has been all over the place on the topic of hate speech etc. Maybe a proper precedent is about to be established.

These guys are true idiots. They apparently also did a similar 'protest/douche fest' at Ronnie James Dio's funeral yesterday. If SCOTUS fails to take care of these losers I would hope that they one day pull this ####### on a Mafia don's departed son's funeral and shortly thereafter find themselves sleeping with the fishes and good riddance.

I'm not entirely sure that won't happen anyway. People aren't always in their "right" mind when grieving a loved one. Its not inconceivable that someone might go postal and go on a rampage.

This is exactly what they want. It's not about free speech. It's not about what they think "God" thinks. It's all about provoking someone to take a swing at them so they can sue. This is how they make their living. They're trolls for profit.

Best thing, IMHO, is what some groups are already doing: stand and encircle the funeral so the mourners don't have to look at the idiots. Then, if one of that clan lays a hand on a family member or supporter, have them arrested for assault and sue them.

Personally I find this group lower than snake ######. These people protested at the funeral of a pair of 13 year old Boyscouts killed by a tornado in western Iowa 2 years ago. It is one thing to protest against soldiers, who willingly put their lives on the line to protect people like these, but 2 boys?

If this is the vengeful God that they worship, they are welcome to him. For he is certainly not the God I was raised with.

If these people were protesting at all funerals, I would have to say that they were exercising their 1st amendment rights, but since they make it a point to protest primarily soldier's funerals, I see it as hate speech and invasion of the families privacy.
