hi everyone im new on this, actually i was reading the commnets for a while and it helped me a lot to keep calm. Yesterday night i got the approval for my I129-F and i wasnt xpecting it until probably next week i also got the I130 approved, on july the 12th, great isnt it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i dont know what to do i know she will be coming on the K3 whats gonna happen next then with the CR1, will we have to come back again to Peru for the interview or is it possible to transfer the completion of the CR-1 here to the US so we dont have to come back to Peru just for the interview i just wish this is possible. u know its not easy to take vacation after vacation i dont wanna loose my job otherwise how are we going to survive here in the states if i loose my job But of course if i have to do it ill do it i dont care about the money or the job the important thing is to be together. Of course it will be a lot easier if i dont loose the job.

Anyways i hope anybody can help me with this PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When your wife comes to the states on the K-3 visa, you can file for an Adjustment of Status (AOS) instead of having to go back to Peru for the CR-1 interview. This is the procedure many people follow when they arrive in the states on the K-3. There is a forum on this website that discusses the AOS in depth.

Hope that helps!

Follow through with all the paperwork required for both of the visa applications (it can't hurt) until you receive your interview date. When you recieve your interview date for the K-3, you can let the Embassy know at that time that you will be bringing your wife on the K-3 and will Adjust her Status here. I assume that once you file for the AOS, the CR-1 will cease processing. (The AOS process replaces the need for the CR-1) The AOS takes several months, but the K-3 visa allows your spouse to be here for 2 years so that give you plenty of time to file and receive your green card through AOS. Once AOS is done processing, there is another interview in the states for you and your wife, and a green card will be issued. Then you are done!

In other words, once you bring your spouse to the states on the K-3, you can complete the immigration process here.

Yes, my husband is Peruvian. We met last year when he was in Texas visiting his sister on his tourist visa. And we had a beautiful wedding in Lima last March. I'm ready to go back :D

Yeah...I don't care how I get my approval, as long as I get it! I'm very anxious to be with my husband again, and I'm hoping the K-3 will still be our best option.

I wish you and your wife the very best with the rest of this process. It can be very intimidating, but there are many very knowledgeable people here on VJ that are always ready to help.

If you have any other questions, you can PM me anytime.

Take care!
