hi. i called the US embassy manila this morning to inquire about my case. they told me that they already have my case but i cant make an appointment because i don't have the letter yet. whats inside that letter? and is it really important? coz when i told the girl that i dont have the letter yet, she asked me my full address, obviously they are just planning to send it. and then she told me that after 2wks of not getting that letter try to call them for an appointment. what's the sense of asking me if i got the letter if i can have an appointment without that letter? can someone help me with this? what's the next thing to do? other than waiting for 2wks or the letter...thanks

Call them back, tell them that you received the letter, and make your interview appointment. I think it helps if the petitioner calls. Good luck!

Why they required the letter from USEM now before getting an interview appointment??? In my case before, i got an appointment interview without that letter..maybe it's good if u call them back again, maybe it depends the person u are talking to if he/she allow u to get one.

thanks for the info. tomorrow i will call them again. i have a pldt landline phone so it is so easy for me to make a call.. coz if my bf would call them he needs to purchase the pin right. it's cheaper to call using landline, says it costs P55/min.

Keep calling them until you get your appointment. Don't wait for the letter. My wife was a K-1er and she never received a letter (nor an email) from the USEM.

Good luck and bring home the pink!

Same here - my fiancee never received a letter from USEM. Call the embassy and ask if you are eligible to schedule the interview.

After the interview is scheduled your finacee will get an email confirming the interview date & time which you should bring to the actual interview.

As soon as we received the letter from the NVC with the case number I count a week for the US embasssy to got the case, and after a wk I called them for the schedule of appointment. They asked me the case number from the NVC letter and they told me that they already have the case. At first call they turned me down, because they are looking for the letter of instructions from their office, but VJ members advised me to call again and tell them that I already got the letter, which I did, and they allow me to schedule my interview. Goodluck to you!

The Embassy call center will not allow you to make an appointment unless the Embassy already has your K-1 packet and it is entered into their system. Since they allowed you to schedule your appointment, the Embassy already has your packet and it is entered into their system. You should make your appointment. Go ahead and call them today and schedule your appointment. You are good to go!:D

The call center will tell you which dates are available for your interview. Then you can choose a date. Maybe you can post the available dates for December here on this thread because there is another VJ member who will be making an interview appointment soon, and he was wondering if there are many December dates available.

Salamat po. :)
