Hello again,

I have a few questions - wasn't able to find the answers elsewhere, but if they have been answered please direct me to where I can find them.

1. Can you enter the USA by land, on the K1 Visa? I live in BC, and will be moving to San Francisco and would prefer to have my family drive me down to save on the costs.

2. If I have to enter the USA by plane, do I have to buy a 2 way ticket?

3. If there is a 2-3 week time period from the date I am married and the end of my "90 days", but I apply within that time to iniate my AOS, will I be ok?

4. Are there any threads that describe generally what happens during the interview? I've read the FAQ that lists commonly asked questions, but would like to know how long the interview usually takes and if there are any other tips or things I should be aware of.

My interview is scheduled in Vancouver for June 15th, so trying to get an idea of what is to come.

Thank you in advance

(Hope this was posted in the right forum)

I'll leave number 3 and 4 to others who are more familiar with that side of things, but there have been posts in the past talking about crossing the US/Canadian border by land. Here are the reviews for land POE's.

The last land POE with a review occurred on May 13, so there should not be any problems.

You do not need a 2 way ticket...you are moving to the US. Go with whatever is cheaper, for some reason it is often cheaper to buy a two way international ticket than one way.

Yes

2. If I have to enter the USA by plane, do I have to buy a 2 way ticket?

No

The only requirement is to marry within the 90 days. You can apply for adjustment anytime after that, but it's always best to do so as soon as possible.

Yes, there are quite a few. Just do a search within the Canada forum using the word "interview". You can use the "Advanced Search" feature to help make your search easier. Also check the pinned topics at the top of the Canada forum. They contain helpful links and information. :)
