there is no parking. You have to park on the street and pay at a meter. I think its 2 hour max. We stayed at Travelodge. Its a 5 min walk. They have underground parking and its $14 or $17 a day.

I answered in your other thread.

You should probably keep it all to one thread, you are crossposting your questions to a lot of threads in this forum.

At the very least its going to be harder for you to track down all your answers. Keeping to one thread will help you get everything you need in one place.

What most people do is stay at a hotel in downtown Montreal and then just walk over the the consulate. There are dozens of hotels within walking distance that are fairly cost effective. You may want to check out the Hotel Reviews Montreal thread to read other peoples hotel experiences. As Gordons said, the only parking at the embassy is on the street, and it's fairly limited.

there's a pay to park place on the same street of the consulate. Mathew and I paid $15 for the whole day, but it's hardly worth it unless it's raining and very cold like it was that day. We got there at 6:40 and was out by 9:15am. Most of the hotels are close enough that you can walk, but if you live in the area like Mathew did then you'll have to make extra time to find a good spot.

I stayed at the Delta Montreal. It was a nice hotel and only about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I would stay there again. Not too sure about the parking situation. Try and get a hotel within walking distance, it'll make you less stressed that morning! We pre-walked it the night before so I knew just where to go. Good luck!
