For AOS, do I need to include the original marriage certificate, or will a copy of the marriage certificate do? Thank you!

I included a certified copy because I got 5 of them when we filed the paperwork. The I-485 Instructions say include a 'copy of the marriage certificate,' but the VisaJourney cheater says include a certified copy. The I-485 should be the source document so I think a copy would work.

If someone else knows something different...

Never send originals. We sent a certified copy because we had some, but from the reading I've done here on VJ, a photocopy is fine. Bring the original to your interview. Good luck!

We don't have any extra copies, so I think I'll just include a copy and then bring the original to the interview. Thanks for your help!

A regular photocopy of the certified marriage certificate is all that is required

YMMV

Just for the future, now's the time to obtain maybe three originals from the clerk. Trust me...
