We received two separate appointment notices for biometrics, one for 6/4 and one for 6/9. The one for 6/4 came first, then a few days later, the one for 6/9. Should I just go to the first one? We can't take the risk of being turned away, the center is 90 minutes away and I'll have to take the day off of work to go.

Just starting the journey, haven't yet filed... Until today(2/12/07)!

2/16/07 - VSC received package

2/22/07 - Check has been deposited, now I can track!

2/23/07 - NOA1 Received via snail mail

3/9/07 - NOA2 via email!

3/19/07 - Called NVC, case sent to embassy on 3/15/07

4/19/07 - DS230 submitted to embassy

4/30/07 - Email from embassy: Interview scheduled for 6/19/07!

If you are going through VSC, this is a glitch that has been happening (apparently unaddressed) for the past month or two. I would definitely go to the first one. When you go, don't mention anything about your other letter. Just take your first letter and I can't imagine them turning you away. USCIS is a very disorganized agency.

I would go on the date specified on the second notice (June 9). They must have rescheduled you. If you're not certain you want travel 90 minutes, and risk possibly being turned away, definitely go on the later date.

Some USCIS offices may allow walk-ins, while others do not. I wouldn't risk a 90-minute travel, IMO.

It's not just VSC, we may be the first CSC applicants to receive two bio letters, but we received our first one for 6/11, did an early bio on 5/25, and two days later received another appointment letter for 6/7. My husband starts a new job tomorrow and he wanted to get the bio out of the way so he wouldn't have to take a time off right away (we also have to drive 90 minutes our nearest office).

Calling USCIS is a waste of time. Making an infopass will take as much time as just going to the bio appointment. Is it a waste of time to go to both appointments (and take time off from a job that was just started 6 days earlier) or is it a risk to not go to either and end up appearing to have abandoned the application? :wacko:

Don't know if this helps but most of us got two Biometrics letter, except for the fact that your has two different dates.

Yep. We're just going to go to the earlier date, which is the first letter we received.

When I was at my bio metrics appointment on Friday, every person that came up to the desk while I was waiting told them that they received two letters. The girl just told me that was OK, drew a line through the second one and stapled it to the first one (stamping the first one etc).

As long as you go for a biometrics and when the FBI gets to your file they find recent biometrics - then you should be good to go. The appointment letter is for you as evidence and in case you receive a letter saying that your application is denied because you didn't show up for biometrics - you can send them an enlarged banner copy (Kinkos will do it ;)) that shows you appeared for a biometrics...
