I am in Orlando too :) did you see new USCIS building next to BIO appointment building on Lee Vista Rd? I am still impressed :) by the way our timelines are almost identical :) funny :star:

Hi, yes we noticed the USCIS building! We saw it from a distance and wanted to see what it was... wouldn't that be where we would go for an interview if needed?

Our timelines are very close.. I think we were doing our bios on the same day! :)

Question regarding renewing driver's license. The driver's license is due to expire when the greencard would have expired - can we just take the letter extending the greencard for one year (pending approval) and renew the driver's license? Thank you!

Yes, just take your extension letter to the DMV and your DL will be renewed for 1 year. That is wat i did with mine.

On Friday we sent additional paperwork in response to our RFE that said we didn't prove that we both share responsibility for most of the assets and liabilities. We included:

-Lease agreement

-Letter from leasing office stating we have lived and currently do live together

-Cell phone bill showing one name on bill and other other as an authorized user

-Electric bill with both our names

-Two affidavits from friends stating our relationship is real

-Our mortgage pre-approval letter

If for whatever reason this is not enough, will they issue another RFE and ask for more or will they just deny our case?

I'm really surprised that we are having difficulties with this! It seemed so much easier than the initial K-1 visa we applied for several years ago or my husband's green card!

Our Bio date is 8/25, it was rescheduled from 8/17 because it fell on my due date. funny part is, she came two weeks early right after we applied for the new date LOL!

Hello fellow vjers,we would like to ask all of who are knowledgeable about our sitution.We are removing the conditions!We sent our package to VSC and they received on 7/26/2010 they cashed the check on 7/28/2010 and the same day we received noa 1-797C in the mail.We would like to ask 2 questions and appreciate any helpful responses! What would be a realistic time frame with no problems from now til receiving her 10yr greencard?Also how come when we accurately put in our receipt number on the uscis site to check the case status,how many times!it right now says case cannot be found at this time?What might be the possiable reasons for this?Any help from our fellow vjers would be very much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!! 1. There's no way to predict accurately as each case is uniquely different and treated as such. Could take a few weeks to a few months.

2. Re-read your NOA1 to find out how and when you'll be able to access your case online. :thumbs:

07-22-2013: Application sent (Delivered: 07-24-13)
08-05-2013: NOA1 received (Priority date: 07-24-13, Check cashed: 07-29-13)
08-22-2013: Biometrics (Received: 08-06-13, Walk-in: 08-08-13)
09-03-2013: Inline for interview (Yellow letter received: 10-23-13)
11-04-2013: Interview scheduled (Received: 11-09-13)
12-12-2013: Interview (Approved)
01-03-2014: Oath ceremony, passport application and passport received

DONE!

You cant check the case online with the number on the NOA, you have to wait for the biometrics letter and use that number to check the case online.
