I applied for a J1 visa to go to Work&Travel in America, and my visa was DENIED!!!.I've been on this program 4 times already and i dont understand??The consul didnt tell me on the interview about denial, they called me on the phone after 3 days to tell me i was denied,no reason explained.I never overstayed,no criminal record...they said something about my student status which is part time..

My question is, next year i plan to go for 12 months to practical training in america, its very important to me...will this visa denial greatly effect my chances of getting visa again??has anyone been in similar situation?? im beyond scared i dont know what to do...thanks.

It sounds like you think they may have denied you because of the part-time nature of your intended studies. If your practical training meets the requirements of whichever visa you are applying for, just politely explain that at your next interview. Good luck!!!

the problem is, next time i have to prove them that i have very strong ties in my country...and if they dont acknowledge my studies as a guarantee of coming back, and i don't have a job being a student, what can i show them to be a proof of my strong ties to my country???i have a part time job as a aerobics instructor, maybe that??i will be applying again to a J1 visa, only another type of J1,but this time i would wanna stay there longer...
