Hey guys, well i just got my return reciept back in the mail and it says it was recieved by USCIS in Dallas on may 26th although i sent it to Vermont service center. I sent the I-129f out on May21st and i checked the usps website on May 24th and it showed delivered to Saint Albans, VT ( vermont service center). Just not so sure as to whats going on here. I figured it would say delivered to Vermont service center on the return reciept, but instead it says lewisville, tx. What do i need to do now? Any info will be much apprciated.

Khandog25,

They created two more centers for processing some forms. Starting mid-May, part of petitions will be redirected to TX and AZ. Yours has been redirected to TX, apparently. Hoping, this measure will make the wait shorter.

Official info from News page of USCIS site:

WASHINGTON - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced that it will be transitioning the intake function of several more forms from the Service Centers to its Lockbox network. By centralizing form and fee intake to a Lockbox environment, USCIS will improve consistency and integrity in the intake process.

The forms scheduled for the transition:

I-817, Application for Family Unity Benefits (If filing under section 301 of the Immigration Act of 1990);

I-526, Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur ;

I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status (Only those filed separately from the I-129);

I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance ;

I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker.

The transition will start mid-May with the Service Centers forwarding applications to the USCIS Dallas and Phoenix Lockbox facilities for processing. In June, USCIS will post the revised filing instructions, update the web page for each form, and announce the address change with a USCIS Update.

Throughout the transition period and up to the point where USCIS formally announces the new filing addresses, customers with concerns should contact the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

how can u guys check online for the NOA1?

I think you need a receipt number to do so right?

Nope. You need to contact your bank, they can see the number you case has been assigned by USCIS, on the reverse side of the cashed check, online. Maybe you can do it on your own. The case number starts with three letters, WAC, for example, and 10 digits.

After you know your case number, you can go to uscis site and track the changes in the stages your case is currently at, online.

Good luck

why can't I edit my own post? :unsure:

Mark-2010,

I thought that probably you were asking the uscis site address as well. It's www.uscis.gov.

To track your case, see Check My Case Status in the left column of the Home page.

Good luck.

The checks cashed by Dallas Lockbox do not show the number to check in the USCIS website. Those aren't really additional processing centers. They are only intake centers to ensure better standardization of the first process of review, checking foor signatures and making sure the check is correct.

I don't think you will see an EAC nor WAC number on the cashed check anymore. This is because it will be cashed in Texas (or Arizona) and then sent to VT or CA. In those places you will have the EAC/WAC number assigned.
