Many ppl get this filled out the day after the marriage, back in the foreign spouse's country

or

give the foreign spouse (via email) a blank version, pdf file, they fill it out, print it, sign in, then send it back via postal mail.

It must have an original signature, or it will be rejected.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Am I (the petitioner) able to sign forms (like the G-325A) on the beneficiary's behalf? If not, am I supposed to send the physical form over seas just for a few signatures? Let me know how it works, they make this process really difficult but it is worth it.

One form, one signature. Email the form so it can be mailed in one direction only. Some have been successful simply writing "will sign at Consulate" in the signature space of the G325a. Later, there will be other forms requiring the foreign spouse's signature though and those must be original.

Which ones NEED the foreign spouse's signature? If I were to replicate the signature is that not allowed? Which forms require the original signature? I guess that means I cant start the I-130 until I get the originals? The post office takes so long

Thanks so much. One last thing, would scanning it with a signature and printing be equal to the actual signature, or does it need to be in pen ink? Also, would NVC really know the difference if the beneficiary signed it? Personally I don't want to take the risk! Thanks again.

Correct but the OP's question indicates either he hasn't yet studied the I-130 instructions and VJ guide for CR1 or just hasn't looked to see that all other forms included with the petition are signed by the US Citizen.

Also, you can start anything you want. I would recommend you have everything finished so that you can add the signed G325a and passport photo to the stack and mail it the same day they arrive.

It would be better and safe to tell your spouse to sign a few blank forms like G-325A and DS-230 Signed and mail them back to you.

It should be signed with a pen and not just scan the signature.

I had signed the forms and mailed them to my husband before he sent the I130 file.

Goodluck.

The only time you can sign on behalf of the applicant is if the applicants a child and can not sign the documents and you have to be the legal parent or step parent. Other wise the applicant must sign their G325A and DS230 Forms and I highly recommend having them Sign with BLUE INK

Thanks for the tips. Does it affect the form if in Box 44 the beneficiary writes that someone assisted them in completing the application?

In order to prevent any mistake in thinking that those signatures are photocopies/scans, signing in blue ink is recommended.

The instructions say fill out with Black ink. I signed it with black. I don't think they would suspect it if the form is original.

If your using Black Ink to sign with just make sure to press hard enough so it looks like it was signed and not a copy..For signatures it is always best to sign with Blue INK and Press hard.I had to resubmit my I-864 because they stated it was not an original signature so I had to resubmit the complete package with a BLUE INK Signature and it was accepted.

Good Luck on your paperwork
