Hi,

I have a question to ask and im a bit confused regarding my situation. Im working in Jakarta and i got the visa from here also. Im planning to visit my family in the Philippines and from there i will fly to USA. However,Ive read that i still need to have the CFO sticker and other certificates needed like Guidance Counselling Session and P-Dos before i leave the country(Phils), is there any other way that i can avoid these? How if i fly from Jakarta to USA, do i still need to have these documents or not?

Thank you.

It is a Phillipine's government requirement... If you never step foot back in the PI, then you can avoid it.

Moving to PI regional

Thanks! But how if i fly from Jakarta to USA, do i still need these documents or not?

If you are a Philippine citizen and fly out of Philippines with a Visa for the USA.......you will need the CFO stamp or they will not allow you to board.

If you have a US visa and are only stopping to visit, etc., in the Philippines then you don't need it. If you're Filipino, stopping in the Philippines to see family on your way to the US with a Visa for entry to the US from Jakarta, you don't need it. If you were visiting Jakarta and are flying back home to the Philippines to gather your visa issued by the US in Manila, you have to have the CFO seminar, certificate and sticker. In other words, if you're not Filipino and are not immigrating from the Philippines, you don't need anything from CFO. If you are Filipino and you're immigrating from the Philippines to the US, you have to have it.

Kevin - I would say yer right IF and ONLY if one is NOT travelling on a Philipines(sp?) passport. Otherwise, doom and gloom at the airport, without the CFO sticker.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Exactly Darnell, if you're Filipino you'd better have one  "Commission on Filipinos Overseas" No Commission = No Filipino Overseas ;)
