Guangzhou packet 3, copy of passport bio page

My fiancee forgot to include a copy of her passport's bio page when returning packet 3 to Guangzhou, the packet 3 checklist indicates to return DS230 I, the checklist itself (OF 169), an EMS label, and a copy of her passport's bio page. Of course she's stressed out now, we gonna have EMS return the parcel back to her so she can correct the problem but i was wondering if this passport copy is really necessary at this point and if they don't get it now will it delay the process. Anyone have any input?

Doubtful that the parcel would be returned - more likely they would issue RFE for the document at which time it could be sent.

You slipped past the 'hold queue' between 'NVC OUT' and 'P3 sent'. 6 days for you, 120 days for others.

IMO, that Packet 3 should have been 'complete'.

If EMS does, indeed, get it back to her, please make a complete Packet 3 submittal, per that OF-169.

Otherwise, make a new set of everything from Packet 3 , send it all in again . Packet 3 docs for download at

http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

Might as well tell her to prep new packet NOW, send if off NOW, not wait for EMS retrieval, at all.

There's no fees to submit on Packet 3 'return', and no civil documents (at this point), it's just the DS-230 Part I, the signed checklist, the copy of the passport BIO page, and the EMS label, prefilled out. She can easily recreate this on Saturday Morning, send it all in via EMS before lunchtime.

Hey you gots any news? :D

Hope all is well !

Everything went well as far as P3, we did resubmit the P3 to GUZ that very day triple checking to make sure all was good. She was able to get the first EMS returned back to her, she was happy about that. Since then I've been calling DOS almost daily, they tell me my fiancee is eligible for interview but the date is not set yet.

I've noticed on other GUZ timelines, the interview dates at GUZ on average are almost 3 months after P3 submission, with the P4 being received in about 40 days (with the exception of a lucky couple getting the interview in about 2 months). Wow! i had no idea this part would take so long. I thought the long waits ended with USCIS.

We've been pretty lucky with our time line though and i hope we continue to be. I would really like to visit her again and accompany her to Guangzhou, hoping for a July date, but if the interview is set in August i won't be able to go until September.

In the meantime, we've gathered all the stuff she needs and been looking at the downloadable P4 forms and working on those. Needless to say we're both rolling our eyes with all the bureaucratic and repetitive forms asking for mostly the same information. (Telegraphic codes for her name? lol we both laughed)
