I am wondering if there have been any issues regarding the issuing of the first NOA. I sent my package 10 day ago and have heard nothing. It seems as if the first NOA is largely a formality and people receive notification in half the time I've experienced thus far. The one issue, I suppose, may be that I applied for an I-129F for the same person 4 years ago before canceling the application late in the process. I have to wonder if they are checking this out or what.

In any event, is anyone else having this issue and is my concern about the previous application valid? Or, am I just being paranoid and be patient?

I dont think any past history would affect the NOA1. The NOA1 is simply an acknowledgement that the USCIS has received your petition.

The timing of NOA1's seems to be all over the map, best to sit tight a bit longer before you get too worried (I know - easier said than done) :bonk:

If you have noticed-these questions have been up all over the boards for the past few weeks. I had my package delivered and signed (not just sent) 10 days ago, still no NOA1. But I saw after 6 days of it being delivered they cashed the check-so they must have begun. And I am just hoping the NOA1 is in the mail. But the fact is many are posting about NOA1's so there must be something going on. Check to see with your bank if they have cashed your check, that will tell you something. Anyone know times between checks and getting the NOA1?

I sent my package and they received it 40 days ago and I still havent received the NOA1. If you can view the image of the check from your bank, your case number is on the back of the check it usually starts with 3 letters like EAC followed by 10 numbers. Then you can go on the USCIS website and check the status of your case.

I gave up on the wait for the NOA1, I just want to receive my email, or text saying my case was approved and being able to verify it online!!! good luck!!

I can tell you that after you sent your package to Vermont Service Center it was then forwarded to the Lockbox in Dallas. After that it takes about 3 to 4 business days to cash the check and about a 3 days from when the check was cashed to receive your NOA1. Just wait a little bit more. It is on its wait. Having applied four years ago has nothing to do with the 1st NOA1
