okay where do i start. As of right now i'm 23 years old. 19 years ago my parents brought me here with a false name on my passport. We have been trying to fix my situation since but the false name from the passport is not letting fix it. Both my parents are us citizens and i was also petitioned at age 17. i'm allowed to change my status, but due to having a false name on my passport they are not allowing it. Has anyone gone though something like this. Please i need advise....Anything!

Only a Good lawyer will be able to assist you on this one. This will be considered fraud to the US government.

Yep, you definitely need a lawyer in this situation, this goes way beyond the scope of VJ.

if i may ask...who exactly knows that you name in the passport is false?

how did it happen that you had to use a false name in the passport?

how is your name false? is it of a completely different person or just a made-up name?

what's the main reason it still has been/can't be fixed (you said you've been trying to fix it)?

If you want us to find you the needle in the haystack, we need the whole story in great detail. All of the paperwork, the timeline, name-relationship to your parents, etc.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

The big question here is was it a "false name" as in someone else's passport or was it really just a matter of an error in the spelling of the name?

The OP did not say mis-spell or an error in the name, they stated that it was a false name.

Now the question is who is the "who that are not allowing them to change status'.
