I got sign in fail today :dance: exciting until i figured i would just check some of my visa stuff for the interview out..had it all spread across my floor and :o MY PASSPORTS ARE GONE!!!!

I have checked everywhere and i have no idea where they have got to :( This is so typical for me!!! and its just my luck so close to getting my interview that i lose them!

I can easily replace my german passport but i also wrote down that i have a british passport when i applied for the visa. The german one will only cost me 35euros and i can get it from town and will take upto 2weeks maybe but getting a new british passport will cost sooo much money and will be so much harder to get and it can take upto 8weeks or longer!!

Im sure they will want to see both at the interview right? What if i apply for a new german passport and file a police report for my missing british one? do you think i could get away with it? I really cant afford a new british one right now.

Did you have any reason to take the passport outside of your house since you last saw it? If not, it's still in the house somewhere. When you find it, you're gonna be like "duh!" Keep looking. It will turn up.

Congrats on the SIF. It is much harder to find something when you are searching frantically. Just take a breather and then look some more. Like Indigo said, if you didn't take it out of the house, it has to be there somewhere. Did you make copies of the British passport visa pages?

-AOS Fee shows as PAID & paid IV Bill: 6/15/10

-IV Bill shows as paid: 6/6/10

-Received IV instruction packet: 6/8/10

-Received dox from co-sponsor: 10/14/15/10

-Sent AOS package: 10/18/10

-POE FLL- 1/23/11 YES! BUTTTTTTT....still not reunited :'( (Reunited on the 24th)

I took it with me when i went to the library to print of some of the visa stuff and after i went to work to make copies of the biometric pages in them..i cant think where or if i had them anywhere else after that. I will have a look in the office at work tomorrow but this was a few weeks ago so someone would have said something by now.

I only have copies of the biometric pages that i put in with the DS-230 and i made additional copies but that isnt going to get me anywhere.

I just cant believe this is happening :(

Well it sounds like you didn't leave them at the library if you had them at work. Just take a deep breath and keep looking. I bet you will find them somewhere!!

Maybe you stuck them in a drawer or a pocket somewhere! Me, I have a never-ending bottomless purse that I can live out of for at least a month!!!!blush.gif
