Do you have to have an original of the affidavit of support or a photo copy for USEM?

Oh dear,so great to know your fiance passed the sputum test :dance: ,what relief!

And yes yes,an original is a MUST! With your signature and all complete.

Do you have to have an original of the affidavit of support or a photo copy for USEM?

They never asked my wife for one document Dale. All they looked at were our wedding photos. They will have your packet of original documents from NVC sitting in front of them. I'd say if anything has changed with your AOS then she definitely needs an original/new one there with her and I hate to say she doesn't need one (you never know what they'll ask for) but I really don't think she'll need an original AOS.

Dang, my wife had her interview on the same day at 7:30, but we have to reshedule now because she has to finish her medical at slmec :crying:

2007-08-21Met through dating site

2007-10-12Hubby's first visit/met me and picked him up in Davao International Airport

2007-10-17Officially engaged to my one and only love hubby & formally proposed in front of my family

2007-10-22Flew back to the US

2008-02-022nd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Cebu International Airport

2008-02-04Went into the US embassy Cebu to get his certificate of legal capacity

2008-02-05Flew back together into Davao City and drove to Tagum City

2008-02-27Our awaited precious moment the WEDDING DAY!!!!

2008-03-04Hubby Flew back to the US

2009-05-013rd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Hong Kong International Airport

2009-05-02We went to Hong Kong disneyland (pretty amazing)

We were K-1ers just like you. The pre-screener at my then-fiancée's interview required an original I-134 Affidavit of Support.

CR-1 interviews are probably treated differently and that is why Kevin answered as he did above.

For us K-1ers, when your fiancée submits the I-134 Affidavit of Support to the pre-screener at her interview, it will be the first time that the I-134 has been submitted anywhere. Us K-1ers don't submit an I-134 to the USCIS nor do we submit one to the NVC. We only submit one at the interview...and it needs to be an original.

Also, make sure your fiancée has copies of everything in case the USEM loses something...like they did with us!
