I front loaded my I-130 with notarized letters from family and friends. I don't think they have to be done that way but that's what I did.

Going to have to start a July Edition sooooon :)

So, only because I'm kinda dumb and haven't really been paying attention... are there specific dates/times that NVC schedule the interviews?

Also does anyone know how the priority dates work?

Mine is current on the July Bulletin... if my case is already completed, does that mean that I should get allocated an interview pretty early in July?

they usually schedule the 2nd week or so of the month. but SOME countries can get interviews assigned at the end of the month. depends on the country etc.

and looks like it's about time for july!!

Have you called a congressman?

I did last Thursday and at least now I know Jordan is backed up, but they are trying to get us in for August. I can't handle much more of this!

Tomorrow I will call the office back and see if the embassy or NVC has given them any answers.

hey guys I am not sure I belong in this group but I was just approved on the 14th of June and I called the NVC and got my new case number but my case is still there it arrived on the 18th of June and from the history of other K-1 visas they usually only stay there like 5 days at the most however I called and they said mine was under additional processing? does anyone know what this mean?

Hey guys, I wanted to share this with you cause, I think is not right, the AVR system at the NVC says that our package was sent to the USEM in Costa Rica on the 17th of this month, funny, cause I called the Embassy, and they don´t have anything, once they receive the I-130 and the rest of the documents, I can change the date of the interview from 07/06 to 07/08. We are stressed because we need to make reservations in the airlines, so she can come down, it will be tougher to get tickets(more expensive), if its close to the date of departure, now I did the tracking of a package that was picked up on the 17th from the NVC but apparently is not ours. Any suggestions on what to do?

Yes... backed up.....there are a lot of people waiting for an interview.....

There is no way I will get an August interview. I am still waiting for I-864 stuff and DS-230 stuff. MSD on the other hand, might be in the August interview group. Hopefully you will hear something soon about an interview date!!!

I am slowly losing hope for making it to august... the IV bill still has not cleared and I can't send my DS-230. It will take 3 days to the USA in the mail and god knows when they would actually look at it.

My husband sent the AOS stuff 2 days ago though.

Man... I don't want to have to wait till September because I have my finals then. :(

And with my luck, I BET they will schedule it on an exam day. I just know it.

Oh and I was on the phone with NVC yesterday and today.

The one yesterday told me it could take up to 6 business days to clear. The one today told me we should get a bank statement and send it to NVC requesting that somebody looks at it and updates it to PAID.

Man I'm soooooo pissed.

Is there a template for such a letter by any chance?
