I front loaded my I-130 with notarized letters from family and friends. I don't think they have to be done that way but that's what I did.

Hi people, just called the NVC a couple of minutes ago, and they gave us our Interview date for July 6th 2010 at the US Embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica, wooo hoooo :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:

Congratulations

Just spoke to a NVC operator, We have a date of July 8th at 1pm in Buenos Aires!!!!

Yeah, it's really not cool waiting for an interview. I was so happy to get the SIF but this waiting for an interview is for the birds! I guess Lagos is really backed up. Jordan must be too. Hang in there Ally and Aneudy!

-APPROVED: 6/2/10

93 days from NOA1 to NOA2

-Received NVC case number: 6/9/10/10

-Gave NVC my e-mail address & e-mailed DS3032: 6/10/10

-Received NVC e-mails (DS3032 and AOS Fee)& paid AOS fee: 6/11/10

-AOS Fee shows as PAID & paid IV Bill: 6/15/10

-IV Bill shows as paid: 6/6/10

-Received IV instruction packet: 6/8/10

-Received dox from co-sponsor: 10/14/15/10

-Sent AOS package: 10/18/10

Called AVR it stated that AOS placed into the system June 9th, So I'm really excited and ready for my SIF.

Looking forward to that Aug Interview date!

CR-1 Timeline

2009-12-29: Mailed I-130 package to Chicago

2010-01-04: package arrived at USCIS

2010-01-12: NOA1 arrived Case sent to CSC

2010-03-22: NOA2 approval email and letter recieved

2010-03-24: called NVC got NVC#

2010-03-26: NVC message verified paperwork sent on the 25th

2010-03-29: Got email from NVC and paid AOS fee.

2010-04-01: AOS fee shows paid, and receive and paid IV Bill

2010-04-05: IV bill shows paid and NVC mailed packet

I posted this in another thread but did not receive any input. Am reposting here so appreciate any input!!!

Our case just got forwarded to the Chennai consulate. What is the process to contact the local VFS office? Do we first call and schedule an appointment with the VFS office or do we just go there physically? And, are we required to take any documentation to the VFS?

Appreciate any input.

03/16/2010: Sent in DS-3032 email.

03/17/2010: Received and paid AOS.

03/19/2010: IV bill available online .

What does it mean if the AVR says they have recieved the AoS fee bill?

I checked the Wiki with the automated messages but didn't find this option.

Our status on the payment portal still says in progress...

There are couple of people I know that went through Chennai consulate. I think they are looking for courier fees there at VFS and bring all document to interview. But I want you to contact and get the info from VJ members that being through Chennai.
