Pay attention, non-EP NVC noobs. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Suggestions:

1) Have the beneficiary mail SIGNED extra DS230s to you so that you have them handy in case something goes wrong. Or you get hit by a dreaded RFE.

2) If you just received your NOA2, THIS is the time to get your tax stuff and police certificates sorted out. Don't waste time on this.

3) Double check the PCC requirements in the regional forums as they are country specific.

4) Check the pinned STUPID RFEs thread in IR-1/CR-1 forum before sending in your packages.

5) Mail your DS230 package to your USC spouse as soon as you get your NOA2. That way he/she can overnight it to NVC as soon as the IV bill clears.

6) Get your taxes, employment letter, paystubs, PCCs, civil documents etc. while you wait for the NOA2.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-4 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-4 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

1-3 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

8-10 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

Folks--please make sure your official VJ timelines are up to date. Remember this is our only source of predictions. Thankyou!

Hehehh yeah I already know the NVC phone number and selections on the menu by heart. ^^

But are you guys saying I should request an operator for this? Because I thought I read somewhere to first try and get the NVC number via the automated system and then call for an operator to exchange email addys.

You don't need to use your NVC number, you can use your USCIS number to exchange e-mails. That's actually how I ended up getting my NVC number in the first place. But I called like 2 weeks after NOA-2, so I knew it was there.

Basically you just need to check the AVR to find out when your packet is in the computer system. And fair warning, that 1 phone line is busy as hell so far today.

Aah ok well I just called and the operator couldn't help me since our number doesn't show up yet.

Oh well I'll try calling again tomorrow and "look it up" in the AVR again then.

Thanks for the help though. ;)

Man... I hope everything works out so that I can move in September.

Just make sure you have all the papers you need to send in for the various stages and you'll be ahead of the game. Papers like Police Certificate etc... After that, it's just hoping to avoid the RFE. But it seems at least half of us or more get snagged for one.

If you have everything in line, it's possible to CC before the next round of interviews, though it would be a nail biter.

You'll probably CC just on or after the next round of interviews, but that still puts you in line for a September interview with ease; maybe if you're lucky, a late August.

Out for errands and work! Hope to see some July dates when I get in late tonight! Crossing my fingers for all of us waiting.....

Hoping for the same thing. I'll be standing guard next to the phone and e-mail all this week. You won't catch me sleeping on-ZZzzzzz.

Sometimes I think this visa process has turned my into a bi-polar narcoleptic.

I couldn't wait so I called NVC this morning so far no interview date scheduled for us. The operator said we should be given a date the second week of the month. I'm hoping she is wrong and we get one this week.

You are right it is the second week of the month. After all this Visa paperwork and waiting it's a wonder I can still remember my name. I just realized today that even after they give us the date there is still more waiting to be done for the interview day and worry about what he should wear and if we've covered and studied all possible interview questions.

For most couples interview day means they will be together but for me and my husband it's most likely the start of a long AP because he is from Pakistan. Oh well I'll just take things one step at a time. Please oh please Lord give us our interview date soon!

Yep yep we have all the tax stuff ready thanks to my husband keeping all his records after filing this year.

And I have everything at home except for the police certificate. I should be able to pick it up on the same day I apply for it though. We're such a small country and apparently well organized when it comes to that.

Good luck everybody on getting your interview dates soon! I see it's a very exciting day for you. :D
