Hi,

Couple of questions:

(1) Assuming it takes between 90-150 days from NOA1 until NOA2, when should I start requesting Police Clearance Certificates for my wife (from India) so that we are ready for DS-230/I-864 filing with NVC.

(2) On a similar note, is it ok to have the medical exam done around/ just before NOA2, hoping that there would be no RFE. The medical exam results are valid till one year. Or should we get the medical exam done only when we receive the IV date?

I am the husband and petitioning CR1 for my wife in India. The reason I ask these questions is that I would be in India for next 3 months and it would be much easier to get these PCC and medical exam scheduled and over with so that we don't have rush in the last minutes

Thanks

1. Yes, you can start it but I will wait for other 2 months (near to appr. NOA2 date)

Which embassy in India? You need to have local police clearance and passport office clearance certificate too.

If you are from Gujrat, you need something from NVC to even apply for PCC.

2. No,You can not, you need to have interview scheduled by NVC in order for the medical to be done.

I hope it helps.
