my ex wants his name taken off of the car that we bought together since I am going to be keeping it, we have been told the only way to do this is to re finance the car with just me applying, I have no credit of course so, does anyone know of any bank or anywhere that i might apply?

Sorry to hear about the non-credit situation Cheryl.

The only thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is that you might want to try RBC - they do give mortgages based on Canadian credit, so they might just do that for a personal loan as well, worth a call anyway.

With no credit in the U.S. and no good credit in Canada, basically your only option will be some finance company with some incredible interest rate - if you can even find one of them to give you a loan.

Your only other options seem to be, sell the car or leave it in his name as well.
