No news on EAD even after approved interview of AOS

I got approved from interview on AOS a couple of days back while there is no news on EAD yet. Today I got an e-mail that your card is ordered and requesting to allow 30 days to mail it. I would like to know;

a) How many days on average they actually take to mail the card once it has been ordered.

b) Shall I contact USCIS for EAD because it has been more than 3 months that I applied for it.

An early response will be appreciated

My EAD was approved before my AOS interview and I still havnt gotten it.

I made an infopass for June 1st, you should look into an infopass appointment.

I've waited 21 days now for my green card (since first production email). 14 since second production email.

Hi(";once u have ur GC u dnt need the EAD card...dnt worry about it...Congratz on the AOS approval =)...if u receive the second mail of card production ordered just wait 4-5 days and check ur mail(";

I am not certain about why they didnt send me EAD while I was eager to go to some work. I called them and they changed my ststus to card production ordered for EAD also:)so now I should just sit back and wait for the cards, whichever comes first.

I had intervied on May 10th and I haven't recieved my EAD nor Green card yet. My EAD's first production date was April 29th.... and 2nd production date was May 11th....

I think it takes long time and as "sayitone" responded, once you get green card, you do not need EAD.

True!!! U dnt need the EAD card once U have ur green card("; mine took almost 9 days before I got my gc in the mail because we are here in Okinawa Japan and we r using APO,AP address("; be patient u will have ur Green card in the mail soon(";Goodluck

Thank you guys! Today I got yet another e-mail with subject :Current Status: Approval notice sent. we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice.

Now what does that mean ..did they send the EAD or they just mailed the notice that we approved your case and you still have to wait or something...

As always, I appreciate your helping replies...

This means they sent the EAD. The actual card comes with an 'approval notice' on paper.

I got that same message this Monday and i just received my EAD card and approval notice in the mail!

Yesterday I had my interview and the IO said that once he enters his approval (which he did on the spot), the EAD process is terminated and "you will never get it." He also said that they just redesigned the green cards, so it will take longer now but I am not eligible to work before I get the green card.

I hope he was not right because I have seen a lot of timelines where people received the EAD after their interviews and a little before the green card. I could not find any info on whether they are already sending out the "new" redesigned green cards, or how long the wait is going to be now. I've had a job offer for a month and I don't know how much longer they will wait for me.

03/15/2010 Filed AOS (from F-1)

05/27/2010 AOS approved, GC Issued

02/28/2012 Mailed I-751 (Removal of Conditions)
