How can anything so stinky possibly taste so good?

I am not into the sour smell, and the burned fish scale smell, of some the dishes the wife prepares for herself. But, some of the rest is quite tasty, even if only after the addition of some southwestern spices, which I enjoy, but she doesn't.

I tried Durian thinking that I can handle almost anything, after about 10 bites my gag-reflex kicked in and puked all over Rose and then she puked hehehe........... I got a pic of that and I was thinking of posting it but I might get another message saying that the photo is inappropriate. Now Kim-Chee is good especially with Rice a BBQ but the FART factor kicks in really quick.....

ETA: But speaking of palutan, she did mention that some of her uncles cooked up a stray dog one time, when they got hungry drinking Wild Horse and San Miguel.

according to my husband patis (fish sauce) , bagoong (rotten fish sauce) are smelly or stinky.

but for me pinakbet,tuyo (dried fish) and patis taste so effin good =)

I am so pickie eating..I had a hard time when I went to the philippines. ..Sorry about that..even here in the states i am pickie..but I love the way she, her friends, and family eat...yes too much food for my taste

I tried san miguel light......i did not want to drink anything heavy..after-all, i was in a distance country and anything could be possible..so getting a tiny drunk is out of the question for me very be careful than sorry
