Hello Everyone,

I am writing to ask you about the credibility of the website account. At the mid-March 2010, I applied for AOS from F-1 by marriage to a U.S. citizen (Chicago Lockbox) Biometrics taken on April 21. Then, my website account for the I-485 and I-765 was updated the following day, April 22. I felt it was very fast when I recieved an interview appointment letter on May 10, which is scheduled on June 9. However, as of May 26, the website remained unupdated. I have not recieved either EAD or AP. I am wondering if my interview is REALLY shceduled at a local USCIS office. I know that I cannot do anything except going to an interview as sheduled. I just thought, however, if somebody might have a similar expereince to share with me.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Kirakira

It's not a problem. We did not have our AP or EAD approved when we received our interview letter. While we were waiting for the interview, we got both approved and arrived in the mail a few days before the interview. This is common. You should still plan on attending your interview as scheduled. Your EAD and AP may or may not arrive before the interview date. It won't matter because your approval at the interview will lead to your green card which takes the place of the EAD and AP. If they do arrive before the interview, take them with you as they may be requested by the interviewer. Good luck at the interview!

I believe the updates are when somebody scans the code of your case. If for any reason, maybe negligence, maybe a scarse knowledge of the system, they don't scan it, then the last updated date doesn't change. I have received my interview letter as well for June 17th and my status was updated last on 05/04, after biometrics. And it still says "Initial review" when it should be "Testing or interview" instead.

On thing I do trust? The good, old fashioned paper copies in the mail :) One more reason for me not to check the website obsessively! Hopefully EAD will come this week, as that's the estimate.

Dear Vivi 6,

Thank you very much for your reply with good advice. I try not to check the web so frequently!! Hope I will get the EAD and AP, but I will not worry too much and get ready for an interview instead.

Sincerely,

Kirakira

** moved from moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to General Immigration Related Discussion as this isn't an AOS question specifically, more a general Immigration question**
