two questions about AOS and Travel Documents

We applied for AOS, EAD, and Travel Documents in early September. Biometrics were done in November and we recently received notice for an interview in April.

Here's my questions:

- We got an email saying that the Travel Documents were approved in mid-January and that we should get a notice in the mail in 15 days. Being USCIS, we gave them a month. Still nothing. Obviously they have our address because the notice for the interview came in the meantime. What do you think we should do?

-Since filing all of the paperwork, I (the USC) got laid off from my job. I am in the process of getting another job, but I don't know if I will have done so by April. I don't want this to be a problem. What do I need to do? My parents will co-sponsor, but do I need to send that paperwork in or bring it to the interview?

Thanks for your help!

I would fill out the I-864 and bring it in to the interview. That way you make sure they get it and have it in your file.

Also make sure you fill out another I-864 yourself, even if you don't have enough money to sponsor. I didn't know about this and when I went to my interview I nearly had my approval pending, because it turned out that as a petitioner I was required to fill out the form along with my husband's sponsor. They can't approval you until they have the affidavit of support from both the petitioner and the cosponsor.

Good luck with your interview!

Did you do this in addition to the I-864 you mailed with AOS petition? Or you just mailed the sponsor's and did not mail your own? Thanks.
