I receive an annual statement from my employer that says what my salary is for that year (because we get a 3% raise every year). On my tax return, my "wages, salaries, tips" from my W-2 states a lower amount, as I have a pre-tax insurance deduction.

Which amount should I include on my I-864? Should I send a copy of my salary letter along with the other supporting documents?

Yes, it is typical that the W-2 mentions only the taxable income whereas the current income includes everything which makes the current income higher than it is said on the W-2. There is nothing to worry about. NVC and Embassy are also aware of this fact.

In one place, I mentioned my current salary to date, I don't remember what question number it is, but it is just above the notarization area (remember, you don't need to notarize the I-864, you just leave the notarization area blank). I think, on the next page, I included my 2005 W-2 income where it asks "I filed single/separate return in the recent tax year," etc. I wrote the year 2005 down and then wrote the 2005's income down from the W-2.

Please note that, I am talking about the old I-864 that the NVC is still mailing out which I filled out and returned to NVC. If you are talking about the I-864 from the USCIs website, then whatever I said may not apply exactly.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
