For those of us that have strong beliefs has this helped or hindered your relationship.

How did you work things wiht your Fiance.

I think what's most important is that you share the same core values and I would recommend talking about what is important to you with regard to your future children's upbringing.

We're both Catholic but nowadays that doesn't necessarily mean smooth waters over religion. Do you swear like a sailor while she blushes when she even hears a curse word? Those things are small but can add tension when other problems come up.

My husband and I share the same religious views- we opt out!

And that works just perfect! :D

Us too! If my fiance got religion someday I think that would be the end of us. And vice versa. If religion--any religion--shapes your worldview, you're living on another plane than people who don't believe. The differences between a Muslim and a Christian pale in comparison to the difference between EITHER and an atheist. Trust me, I've tried to make it work before.

We both share the same religion, both Roman Catholics, but In india The Roman Catholic is very strict, it's almost like protestant here, just adding Mother Mary to it.

Gone but not Forgotten!

My husband probably doesn't share my beliefs since I worship Nature, and he is a Catholic who doesn't really believe anymore in any higher powers nature or otherwise, but we enjoy hiking and don't really seem to argue much about religion or spiritual values. Sunday is a day of hiking, sleeping in, BBQing and relaxing.

7-3-06 GREEN CARD ARRIVES IN MAIL!!!! Done for two years!!!!!!

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

I'm confused... I thought Catholics believe in God

God is not a higher power. God is a figment of your feeble imagination.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
