My VJ prediction is getting closer and closer after going off further and further. That thread about filling in our timeline did help a lot. Thank you. Now, I'm hoping I really do get my NOA2 in by mid-July. Now it's beginging of June (almost.) Should I go ahead and start getting police certificate in order? That's the only I am concerned about not having in time. I have never ever saw a pcc and don't even know where to get one from. I imagine it's from the police station.

Is there a Bangladeshi who can chime in on this? Everyone else also welcome to help me.

Yep, the time line has moved again. I would get things as ready as possible so that if your NOA2 does happen to come sooner (June) rather than later (September). Good luck on your country's documents. Maybe try checking out the US Embassy website for Bangladesh and see what it says about where to obtain the documents needed.

You should start to get the PCC (Police clearance Certificate) now. Depending on where your spouse is, it make take about a month or two. The following process I had to go through:-

1) My wife did not leave in Dhaka, so she took her Passport to the local police station for the PCC.

2) Once the PCC was created, it was sent to the District Police HQ, from there they sent it to Dhaka (Home Ministry)

3) It stayed there for a weeke or so, sent it back to the Police HQ

4) Step 2 & 3 was done using local snail mail

5) once the PCC was received, then it was taken back to Dhaka, notrized, and submitted to Foreign Ministry at ~8am

6) Picked it up the mext day around ~3pm

Overall I believe we spent close to 2month for this doc.

Hope this helps....good luck!

I would agree that you should start investigating the details of obtaining the police certificate. If it does take a few months you would want to get started on that now. Good luck!

I will get started on the PCC right away. Since it takes two months, now's the perfet time to start on it. MRahman, thank you for your help. Looks like first I need the passport for my wife. Which I think she already has. Will make sure.

After that she should just walk into the police station and ask for a police certificate, right? Hey, do you mind scanning your PCC so I can see what it looks like for Bangladesh. I know I'm asking something huge. If possible, I'd appreciate it. If not, I'm already in your gratitute. I searche google image to find something but didn't.

yeah but why is the timeline going down? no one is getting approved at all in the last two weeks. so last week they had the cr1's in february and no one getting approved and now it is in march on here. why would this be?

I don't know. I think some people had missing information. They updated their timeline so the predictor is doing better.

I don't understand why there isn't at least a few dozen approvals. I'm sure not a day goes by without USCIS not approving some I130's. I just don't understand why we don't see more "Hooray, I got approved" threads.

well it has died since april 30th. my timeline back then said i should have been approved in june. now it is late july that i will be approved. i know this isn't an exact science but at is a guide at least. i hope they go hot and heavy soon to catch up. it looks to me that they jumped somewhere else in the visa world and left these wait because they are close so i will assume they will fall behind with these and go ahot and heavy on them soon.

The most accurate explanation I heard is that now USCIS is going to focus on student visa and work visa. So they can get the people in before Fall 2010 semester starts. So they put CR1/IR1 in back burner and won't probably pick them up during summer. That's why the lull in approval for us. This made sense to me. Unfortunately I filled on the wrong time of the year. But it was still the earliest I could file. :(

I've come to terms with this. Still I hope I am pleasently surprised toward the middle of July.

IndigoSkies,

Where did you get this information? Not doubting you...but, it would be more believable if they weren't still approving K1's left and right (and in turn, driving me INSANE!!!) I am just ready for SOMEONE to get approved so we can see some movement. This standstill is no good and makes no sense. All I can think is that there are people getting approved, they just aren't memebers of Visa Journey. I hope that's the case and not just that all the CR-1 caseworkers have gone on their annual team building retreat or something.

UGH! Come on approvals for March filers! Good luck everybody!

I forgot which thread it was or who it was. But it was in VisaJourney. Honestly, I hope I'm utterly wrong. Because I don't want to admit that they put CR1 on back burners. :P It was just one of those things that I read here, somewhere, and it made sense intuitively. I understand that thousands of people file for CR1 and only a few are VJ'ers. I just expected those few VJ'ers would represent what was going on in USCIS. This dry spell in approval for the past month or so is kind of bothersome to my morals. Seriously.

I'm on the April boat. Good luck to you, mate. To everyone.
