Hi all

I have another small question regarding my long road to greencard.

Would appreciate any help on the following.

I have the K3 visa, issued July 28th in London.

I have potential employers for work but I cant start legally until my I-765 has been approved. The thing is, can you be approved for I-765 Employment Authorization and stay on the K3 instead of filing for AOS. The reason for not filing is my potential work means I will be travelling to foreign countries and need to keep my travel documents, I was told to file for AOS I would have to surrender my travel documents. ? Not sure exactly if this is correct.

Also, does anybody know the approximate time lenght to getting a I-765 from Chicago USCIS ?

Thank you once again during this confusing time.

It'll take at least 3 months to get your EAD after you send in the application after your arrival.

NO you do not surrender any travel documents when you apply for AOS. Your K3 visa is valid for multiple entry for 2 years.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
