We filed in 12/2007 for my other son, we recieved an RFE in Nov 2009, sent it back and I-130 was approved on 2/24/10. Think yours should be done, we filed at VSC.

Mine was filed at VSC too but it was later on transferred to TSC. Only the different is I filed for my spouse and you filed for your son.

I thought they would give high priority to the case with outside current processing time, but it seems to me as they are eqaully treating all the cases regardless of when was it filed. This is the hight of ridiculousness.

Hello Dear Friends,

Is there anyone whose I-130 (outside current processing time) was transferred to TSC and not approved yet?

I am in such situation now. My I-130 was filed on Dec. 06. It was transferred to Texas Service Center few months ago. My priority date is already current but they haven't approved my petiotion yet.

Anyone in similar situation? Please share your experience/ideas.

Thank you,

are you folks using the address book that VJ member 'gogo' posted on VJ? Suggest you find his prior posts, download the address book, and start contacting the bosses (who are listed in the address book, btw).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Darnell, First of all thank you very much for responding to this thread.

As per your suggestion, I searched 'gogo' post and found USCIS contact numbers different officer within different department. But I am not sure what should I do now?

Are you saying that we should start contacting officers from that address book and state our problem to them?

But - be focused, ya ? Try to figure out where yer casefile is stuck, then map that with the offices that are listed in the address book. Don't call ALL of them. You should be prepping some letters, as well - it's never enough simply 'to call' -you must be able to present all to a human, who normally knows NOTHING about yer particular case.

If you are using the immigration liason staffer with yer US Congressman or US Senator's office, it's a good idea to check in, as well, about possible contacts that you'd like to make - keep that staffer in the loop with yer actions and activities.

Gogo had many errors on his visa journey, from government workers, at each and every step of this cr@p.

He even filed a writ of mandamus suit, at one point, only to have further mishaps at a US Consulate .

I do suggest you read all of his prior posts, as well, as he was meticulous in detailing his game plan, actions, and activities. I'm not saying that his painful journey and his reactions would be a good road map for you to use, but - you'll get some ideas from reading all (I do mean all) of his stuff).

Each 'lag', IMO, is unique, so you'll need to determine exactly WHAT and WHERE the problem is, and be a laser beam on 'that department' that you find in the address book.

In the end, Gogo won all, his wife is with him in the USA now. He's super busy with her, please do not contact him, ya ?

Warmest Regards....

(and Good Luck ! )

NArocks, I walked in infopass appointment yesterday, but it didn't help much. The immigration officer was saying me that when I become US citizen then the process will speed up. I told him that has nothing to do with my I-130 approval because my priority date is already current, then he says it's not current yet. I pointed him to DOS June Visa Bulletin then he yells "oh June Visa bulletin...oh yeah" ! LOL The guy sounded very raw.. wacko.gif

They have made another inquiry request..lets see what happens next !

Thanks for your suggestion !

Darnell,

My case is stuck at Texas Service Center. I have been back and forth emailing to TSC since last 1 month. But no progress yet. I want the RESULT but they haven't touched my file yet. The only thing they said till now is they have requested my file from their record department. My question is how long does it take to get the file from their record department that I don't understand. What were they doing since last 41 months???

About my infopass appt. yesterday I have mentioned it in my above reply.

THanks for your advice, I will follow accordingly.

oh..sad !

I wonder if you can request expedite on your case. As you have mentioned in your previous post that you I-130 was denied due to the USCIS error. Did you try calling USCIS 1-800 # and ask them to request expedite your I-130? I think you should do that?

Do you have anything on written saying your I-130 was denied in error??? That helps.

Good Luck.

My story:

Category: F2A @CSC by LPR wife

PD: July'09

I130: Not approved

Thanks

Thank you homer4all for the information.

I already sent an email to Texas Service Center (tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov) on April 27, 2010. But I am still waiting for the decision on my I-130. Whenever I check with them they just keep on saying "They have requested the file from their record department and just be patient". Was not I being patient since last 42 months??? yeah man, it's been 42 months that I filed I-130 for my wife and I don't see no reason behind holding it that long. Last week I walked in for a infopass appointment and it didn't help much. They have said "Please do not make any inquiry on this case before 30 days".

I also afraid to make other inquiries ie. emailing to USCIS official about my problem thinking they may get mad at m and it might more delay on my case.

I am really tensed and worried about it. What should be the reason that they are taking so long time to approve an I-130 that was filed on Dec. 2006???

Please suggest me a way out folks. I need yours help.

Thank you.
