fixed one of the more frustrating things for you.

Nothing is fixed. Not all undocumented migrants are 'illegal' in any sense of the word. People become 'undocumented' for all kinds of reasons and crossing a border without scrutiny is not a felony.

Can you imagine the chaos at borders were it to be the case?

lemme guess, the illegal was causing car crashes that americans didn't want to.

Didn't you get the memo? This time they are using the "well legals do it too, so it's okay" card.

Give it three or for more posts and they will claim this article is the same old. Never their posts of course, even though you can cut and paste the same rebuttals from the last 50 threads; just this new thread, talking about a new incident, coincidentally involving illegals - yet again.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Perhaps we should reward them with a trophy then. After all, it "is not a felony".

You think I am going to continue to play your game BY? You accuse me of holding all kinds of bizarre opinions that I have never held so fine, imagine I want to give them all a trophy if that makes you happy.

an undocumented migrants would be someone passing through w/o documents stating thats what they were doing. an illegal immigrant (like the one described in OP article) isn't passing through he lives here unlawfully.

Living in the US having passed through the border without being inspected is no more a felony than the passing through the border without inspection.

i'm lost. whats with the cutsy word play on the guys status? the piece of sh!t got drunk, drove a car, plowed into another car, and laughed at the police when he was arrested. one would assume he'd have the same reaction if he had ran over a few kids also. would it be cutsy games from you then too?

I am talking in general terms about the status of undocumented migrants, not the crime of drunk driving.

he is not an undocumented migrant. he knowingly & willingly violated the US immigration laws & continues to do so as he is not passing thru. he is an illegal immigrant. nothing cute nothing funny about it or about the drunk driving.

Evidently, in the minds of some, it's different when a illegal does it because we do it to. They don't seem to get the concept of being on ones best behavior when residing in somebody's house; particularly when uninvited.

Cleo's logic is like saying if someone took my car for a spin without my permission and then totaled it, it's no big deal because I too damaged the car the week prior. So I should stop "whining" about it and just pay the deductible; particularly if the law says so. The law once allowed slaves and females like Cleo had no right to vote but hey, the law said so, therefore, why should it change? Right Cleo?

I have not commented on drunk driving, just the actual laws that are broken by those who enter the US outside the proper points of entry and it is not a felony. I do not know what you hope to gain by continuing to impose your own assumptions as to what I might really mean when I post something that is quite innocuous and devoid of innuendo but obviously you feel the need to do so so presumably you think you will gain something by doing so.

Wearing a Mexican costume? I wonder if that's why he's a "suspected" illegal immigrant?

"probable cause"

The reason he is "suspected" is that when he was arrested and told he "was in a lot of trouble" he said "Nothing will happen to me man, I will be sent back to my country...Mexico"

ONLY when we use our tax code to penalize employers for exploiting illegal aliens will we end the problem. When our government wants people to buy cars, buy homes, caulk their windows or go to college, they know EXACTLY how to do it. When the Feds want the states to comply with sihes the Feds cannot impose (drinking age, seat belt laws) they know exactly how to do it.

IF they want to stop the flood of illegal aliens, they know exactly how to do it. They do not need to checj anyone's ID and it doesn;t matter what color their skin is. Simply impose a HUGE, ruinous TAX for not complying with labor laws by exploiting illegal aliens for profit.

And please Jen, stop referring to them as "illegal immigrants" Immigrants are not illegal as you well know. I do not think you rrefer to drug dealers as "undocumented pharmacists"
