I hope you will hear from her soon. I know that in some countries, the applicant has to wait in the consulate for a few hours before the actual interview. I know how nerve-wrecking the wait is...

Congrats to all, whose interview got over with approved notion.

I convey my best wishes to all of those who have interview today (29th July).

Today, my wife went inside American Consulate @ Mumbai around 7 AM via VFS bus.

The waiting period is killing me!!!!

I am sure that everything will be turning out to be good..

At 12:40 AM CST (10:40 am in Islamabad), my wife, RAB, called and told me the GREATEST news ever of my life after waiting for more than four and a half years that she got :

APPROVED.

I will be writing in detail later once I get the details from her. As she was on her way back to her hotel room and it is still raining cats and dogs over there and the streets are flooded heavily.

But THANKS God . It is all over finally. I have shared this great news with my MOM first and then with the great people here at Visa Journey. I am crying in tears and thanking God at this very moment.

Approved. God is great. Everything was fine. They asked her if she had the old indian passport and asked for my W2 s, thats it with document. Everthing else was a smooth ride. Thank you guys.

Ok, Friends. I have some good news to share with all of you.

Around 2 PM IST my wife Jinal called me and said these sweet words:

My visa is approved

It was 4:15 AM in the morning and I was asleep.

But after hearing this, I got out of bed and felt immense pressure and burden being removed from my chest.

Me and Jinal, both are happy and dancing with joy, literally.

I thank VJ and the fellow members who were constantly co-operating, giving advice and helped us to keep up our spirits high from the beginning of the visa process journey.

My deepest and warmest wishes to you and your family on such good news.

My wife's (Jinal) interview process was very smooth and she was asked only 5 questions:

1) Who is sponsoring you to US?

2) How did you met your husband?

3) When was your marriage?

4) Was it a court marriage?

5) Where did you went for honeymoon? How many days?

She went inside around 7 AM IST and came out only around 2 PM IST, during which the interview process only took 15 min (both the interviews).

She is going to pick her passport around 4 PM IST.

More details to follow as I am yet to speak to her in detail

when I sent the affidavit in march I just sent the 2006/07/2008 taxes... of the joint sponsor... that was all at that moment...

Have you been requested for the 2009 taxes?

I got my 2009 transcript, but I only sent NVC copies of my 1040 because I had just filed and wasn't sure if I could get a transcript. I want to be sure I have everything at his interview so I got the transcript.

Strange thing is, when I emailed the embassy to ask what we needed to bring, they responded "his medical exam and passport." We all know we need relationship evidence and (I thought) originals of some documents again. So Who Knows?! I am still taking a suitcase full!
