Another Jul 13 interview approval from Dublin!!

Very straight forward, they asked him how we met, commented as to how we got engaged quickly, it was more of a conversation, nothing difficult in any way. The lady asked if he had pictures, and he showed her a few (he only took 7 with him), including pics of our big wedding ceremony we had after our court wedding. Dublin is more into paperwork. We were missing an original doc, so they gave him a white slip. I sent it from here, took 2 days by USPS/fedex to the Dublin Consulate. the next day, they mailed everything back to hubby including the stamp!

To those going through Dublin, the envelope size you need to bring is 12 by 14!!!We didnt know that, just found out on here that you need an envelop, but noone had the definite size. My husband had to run all over Dublin right after his interview to find it, and come back and turn it in to the embassy before they closed at 4pm!

We are set!! so cant wait!! My husband scanned his passport with the stamp, and the letter they put in there welcoming him to the US. The sealed envelope was also in the 12 by 14 envelope, and in a few wks POE! So thankful!! God is good!!!

thanks for this forum and to everyone still waiting, be encouraged!

Congratulations! It is always nice to start the day with great news!

Thanks "tokoyo.lovers","gina_raluca","LoveRani","RGinu" for encouraging words.

In addition to what they are asking and what I have so far. I am doing ----

1. Affidavits from guest attending the wedding (not immediate family members), they can tell that it was a bona fide marriage and they have attended it.

2. Affidavits from friends(American/Indian,teammates,boss) here is US about my marriage... we do talk about it and they are asking me updates from last couple of months... they know I went to India 2 times last year, once for marriage and then visit.

3. Sachinky has given me template/text for affidavit about relationship start to end kind of explanations. I have used it to write my part, I got to help my wife to write her part.

--------------------------------------

I'm sorry I can't help much, but it sounds like obtaining affidavits is a good way to go. Good luck!!

Congrats! Best wishes for a long life together!!

You are so right! He called the court house after i told him what we need cause he lives in a different state now, and they found his divorce papers!!! He just ran to the post office so he can mail a money order($4) so they will sent him the papers. So 2 hrs after my interview stuff looks great.I want to thank you all very much and to tell you to be strong and hang in there, because God exists!! And He always helps us!! hugs everyone

Ok, here is the update.Hubby received his original divorce documents ( of his previous marriage) from the court house thrue mail.He is putting them into an envelope right now, along with a cover letter and my scanned 221g letter, and he will send it directly to the Embassy here, since the CO told me this would be fine ( for him to send the papers directly to them).Do you think it is ok if he is attaching a scanned copy of the 221g i received at the interview?Or they would want the original one that i have here with me? Thank you.

CO was nice and told her as soon as we got the document through courier office and we will send u back passport in 20 days......Does it really take that long? :star: Hello Vjers! :star:

Were happy campers here in Luxor Egypt. My husbands visa arrived via DHL today at his family home. We didn't get to physically open it, but were certain its his passport with the the visa stamp. It took about 4 business days for the visa and they shipped it the same day of our interview. The US Embassy in Cairo is very on top of things, we had a very pleasant interview and things are working out for the best. Wish you all good luck!

Interview passed by the wife in Frankfurt.

She had to send in an updated translation and received confirmation it had arrived a few days later.

They are going to send it out on the 30th, as the 29th is our 2 year anniversary, which is nice.

Herself, and our son, will be traveling home on the 13th of Aug., as long as there aren't anymore holdups.

It's been way too long and way too difficult a journey. . .
