I have no decision for visa. She was told to submit all the support documents to VFS that she was carrying with her. All went smooth till the Interview.

First CO told her it is a fake marriage, that really upset my wife and it took her some time to convince her that it is not.

CO asked her how many relative she has in US 2-3 times, she told her she only has her sister husband and her sister is also going through NVC right now.

CO went through all the wedding/honeymoon pictures. Did not ask pictures for my second trip?

We are both late in getting married, not a typical Indian boy/girl age.

In the middle of it, she told my wife "You can get into big problem if you lie". It was in the middle of when she was convincing her that her marriage is not a fake marriage

Wife told her that what ever I told you is 100% truth and I am not lying.

At the end, she was convinced and told her to "submit some support documents, pictures to the VFS office". But she was given her passport and a letter that CO has signed it.

CO told her to go to window 25 to talk to Indian lady and She has mentioned to the young Indian lady at window 25 that she has everything with her now.

But she was told to follow instructions on the letter.

Out of 30 immigrant interviews, 8 were CR1 and 5-6 has objections/no decisions/additional/administration processing.

I am going to get a fax from her soon, I will post you all.

I don't know where we stand now...."objections or no-decisions or additional/administration processing".

Please let me know if you have any idea.

Good thing is she was given letter signed by CO to submit documents to VFS office. :star:

Bad thing is they have given her the passport... :help:

(I got to see the letter, we may need to submit passport to VFS, it was not a productive day like we were expecting).

I GOT THE LETTER and was asked TO SUBMIT PASSPORT with the documents... Strange, she has everything with her.

One more thing, there must be a time limit on the interview... she was at the CO window and they have announced the next person name to come to the window.

She was treated very respectfully. She has mentioned that CO was tough and very respectful but not rude at all like some other VJ members experienced.

Deep, i am sorry to hear that you have a little more time to wait until a decision will be made. But i can tell you, that from what i saw at the Embassy in my country,it is not unusual for them to keep someone's passport or to give it back, it doesn't mean its a bad sign if they did not keep her passport.I suggest you read that paper careful and submit everything they want wherever they want. What does exactly the paper say?Good luck to you and don't loose faith, everything will be fine.

Congrats MaryLan and thanks for the congrats from all of you!!!

I can vaguely remember 12 months ago, saying good bye to my Wife and being SO naive that I thought I would be living with her in the US before Christmas. How wrong I was.

I also remember embarking upon this long, tedious process - "I-130? What the hell is that? Do I fill it out, or does she?" ... If it weren't for the abundance of information on this site, or the knowledge shared by all members, then I'm sure I'd still be trying to understand what the I-130 is and how we get started. That, or I would have hired an over-payed, over-stressed, couldn't-give-a-damn-about-me lawyer!

If anyone is ever over in California, feel free to drop a line. We can have lunch, a few drinks and laugh at the stories shared through the USCIS/NVC/Interview process

I thought the same thing! I said, surely my husband will be here to see the birth of our child. Then it was surely he'll be here before he turns 3 months...Now it's surely he'll be here before he's 9 months! But this time, I'm pretty certain of it! Congrats again AUS2USA.

Hey, where are you in Cali? I'm in the Bay Area.

I have no decision for visa. She was told to submit all the support documents to VFS that she was carrying with her. All went smooth till the Interview.

First CO told her it is a fake marriage, that really upset my wife and it took her some time to convince her that it is not.

(I got to see the letter, we may need to submit passport to VFS, it was not a productive day like we were expecting).

Wish I could offer some guidance. Please keep us posted with the progress. We're all hoping that it's just a small hiccup for you and your wife.

Deep--Ok, they are not buying that your relationship is bonafide. So you need to overload proof of evidence. The stuff they've asked for is very common in Vietnam and China. Delhi, unlike Bombay and Madras, is a very high-fraud consulate and they are notorious with the 221g there. I don't know the particular circumstances of your case or the red flags you might have thrown up but you need to get started on compiling all the stuff that is mentioned on that letter and more if you can come up with it. You have one more shot and you need to make good use of it. I'm sorry for what you're going through, hang in there!

Indian consulates are hesitant to accept any information at the interview stage. If it's an AP, the additional information has to be submitted to VFS. I hope your AP isn't too long, Delhi AP typically runs from 4-8 weeks.
