We called NVC twice yesterday and got the same long ####### response about scheduling interviews in the second week for the following month. How did you guys all get your interview dates so quick? Did you call or email? or they emailed you?

Congrats to all so far btw. it's awesome to see july starting to fill up :)

Does anybody know if India is not in a pool of countries where interview dates are assigned only in the second week of the month? This will confirm the fact that July interviews are already being setup for applicants from India. Although I do see interviews being scheduled for UK and Nigeria as well for July already. It seems that some countries are in that pool and some not. Am I right in my observation? :yes:

USCIS Journey:

05-12-06 - Petition Sent for spouse of a green card holder (F2A)

05-18-06 - NOA1

06-24-09 - I-130 Approved (PD not current but sent to NVC (PD- May 04 2006)and Case Transferred to NVC

Does anybody know if India is not in a pool of countries where interview dates are assigned only in the second week of the month? This will confirm the fact that July interviews are already being setup for applicants from India. Although I do see interviews being scheduled for UK and Nigeria as well for July already. It seems that some countries are in that pool and some not. Am I right in my observation? :yes:

I agree with that observation. Seems like appointments for India are scheduled perhaps the last week of the month, rather than the 2nd week.

My NVC Journey:

April 5, 2010 - AOS Fee Bill received

April 6, 2010 - Paid AOS Bill

April 8, 2010 - AOS packet sent

April 9, 2010 - AOS packed delivered to NVC via express mail

April 10, 2010 - AVR updated to reflect AOS packet received

April 19, 2010 - IV Fee Bill paid online

April 20, 2010 - AVR updates to awaiting DS230 package

May 3, 2010 - Mailed DS-230 and all docs required with it via express mail

May 4, 2010 - DS-230 package delivered to NVC via express mail

May 11, 2010 - NVC receives complete DS-230 package

May 12, 2010 - AVR changes to "Checklist received on May 11"

May 18, 2010 - SIF (called up NVC just to confirm)

May 19, 2010 - AVR updated to say Case Complete on May 18

May 24, 2010 - Interview appointment assigned for July 16 as per operator, also received appointment letter via email from NVC

July 16, 2010 - Interview appointment in Mumbai

Soza, did you talk to operator or the supervisor to find out about your interview date?

Yea I called first thing on Monday Morning (May 24th) and they were able to give me the date and time. I received the email from them the same day but the AVE has yet to be updated. It still sayt NVC has completed the case, please allow 8 weeks for notification.

I see on DHL tracking website that NVC is still sending packets to Islamabad embassy since my case was approved on May 19th. Here are the packages that were sent to Islamabad since then:

My question is what are the chances that nvc is still sending packages for the interviews that will be held in June even though all the June dates were already assigned by may 15th and what I thought is that nvc is done sending packets by 15th of the month. Is it possible that nvc is still sending packets for June or these are packets for July interviews?

We (some folks from early May NVC thread) think the operators are just reading from a script when they say that, and that NVC schedules from the time the embassies give them the open appt dates until they are filled. I am hoping to find out my appt date the first few days in June, based on what Montreal has done the last couple of months.

I was calling almost every day since May 19th and was getting same response about scheduling second week......

Again, I called about an hour ago and said "I would like you to consult with the supervisor about when can she assign an interview date?" She right away said, "Your interview has already been scheduled today for July 29th at 8:00 am and packet of information has been sent." I asked if I can request for earlier date, she said if you want to request for earlier date you can contact the embassy. "

Hurray Hurray ..... :dance::dance::dance:

IR-1 / CR-1 Visa

2010-04-19: approved online wohoooo

2010-04-24: NOA2 hardcopy received

2010-04-26: gave 2 email addresses and assigned case #

2010-04-27: received/sent ds3032, AOS bill

2010-05-01: IV bill became available online/paid

2010-05-06: sent in DS230 package via express mail 9:07am

2010-05-11: NVC acknowledges the receipt of AOS on 05/05

2010-05-13: operator told me that AOS sent to supervisor for review....

2010-05-14: AVR changes to received the checklist letter response on 5/13

2010-05-23: RFE for original birth cert. (i did sent original).......arghhh

2010-05-24: BC under review by some department

2010-06-02: sent in original BC again and previous BC is still under review

2010-06-10: NVC recognizes BC into their system

2010-06-15: BC under review

2010-06-21: SIF!!!!!omggggg soo happy 57 days in NVC process

2010-06-28: interview on Aug. 19, 8am.

2010-08-19: interview went fine but he's put into AP :(

2011-01-09: almost 5 months in AP "still pending"

2011-02-06: 5 and half months and still counting......when is this torture going to end....

2011-02-20: 6 months still no answer..........

2011-03-08: more than 200 days passed in AP..................(

2011-03-24: visa has been issued today. hurayyyyyyyyyy finally wait is overrrr.

I tried the same thing you did RabRiz but nothing..... they still gave me the same old information and said that I could speak with a supervisor but that she would tell me same thing... oh well..... I had a SIF on May 13 and still waiting to schedule interview for Bogota, Colombia.... anybody know if they possibly will schedule before June 7?? Thanks..
