Only thing needed is passport, interview letter and a couple of photos.

also double check your embassy website for what's needed! sometimes it is country specific i think!

That is all that is needed in Lagos but I can't be sure for India. Someone should be by soon to confirm.

I remember reading something about bringing 2 photos to the interview, but I don't remember where. On the NVC instructions letter, it writes that they have received my mom's photographs; that requirement has been met. Should I still have her take 2 photos to the interview? thank you.

I've updated my mom's interview date. I was able to change it from July 19th to July 8th.

i would take extra photos to be safe!!! it won't hurt to have them should something happen!

I've updated my mom's interview date. I was able to change it from July 19th to July 8th.

Bureaucracy is killing me! The NVC accepted my mom's civil documents with a newer divorce certificate; however, the embassy is not accepting it. Frustrating...

Medical exam done at yesterday ! It is really expensive, over 200 US dollor . But we are not allowed to know the result until the interview, is difference for other country.

I would have her take the 2 photos with her to the interview just to be safe.

What do you have to do?

Just get a new divorce certificate for my mom. It's not that bad, but since NVC accepted it, I don't get why the embassy is requesting a different one at this point.

Is there any regulation about the immigrant needing to go the petitioner's place when first flying into the US? I would like for my mom to first visit my sister (in another state) before arriving at my place.
