Ever since I started college I stopped watching television. Over the last 5/6 years I have never ever had a show that I intently watched or waited for the entire week. Until FlashForward. I started to watch FlashForward religiously. I never missed an episode and I have fallen in love with all the character. I love this show so much that I put away the book FlashForward and watched the show instead. Now they cancelled it because it didn't get good enough rating. This is a huge blow to my psyche. ABC has lots a potential life-long fan and the TV has become boring again. I will read the book now instead.

I really liked this show. Life goes on.

I feel the same way about two shows cancelled last year.. Life and Life on Mars

I was surprised at how many shows get cancelled each year... http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/2008-2009-cancelled-nbc-tv-shows/

It truly seems like they just throw stuff at the wall to see if something sticks and then only then, do they try to come up with a long term version... it sucks when a good premise and characters get screwed over by a bad writer or director.... even worst is when another network tries to rework a cancelled show from another network.... I have yet to see it work well...

With all of the cable access channels and internet channels.. there should be a "cancelled TV channel" a place for those shows to go and possibly live on.... at least in some form... I am a true fan of RTV... "retro" 50's - 80's reruns

They need to at least do an ending of Flash Forward. I'm happy V wasn't canceled, but I think there's room enough in ABC's schedule for both Flash Forward and V.

I blame the poor ratings for both shows for their silly "hiatus's". Just as the shows were gaining traction, they put them on hiatus for three months in the middle of the season.

I've long wanted to get inside the brains of tv execs just to wonder how it is that they can make such stupid decisions...

I think we're going to see episodic shows that are direct to video like some movies are because a lot of shows that are canceled have a pretty loyal following in terms of video sales and rentals. The networks' rating wars take a lot of causalities and not an indicator of quality.

FlashForward's finale is this Thursday, May 27th, 2010.

The show is based on the novel FlashForward. With the termination of the show, you may like to pick up the book. I only read the first 50 pages of the book before deciding to watch the show instead. But now I will read the book. Once I find it. I pretty sure it's on top of my toilet.
