I'm happy everyone is getting reapproved. I was approved before and now I'm getting nervous. I did not use a marriage broker but I have been arrested before and have been acquitted and my record has been expunged. According to the scanned RFE it says I have to give them certified court records of the expunged arrest. I went to the court and they said I couldnt get a certified copy because it was expunged. I have the letters that I received from the courts and police departments saying they have complied with the expungment and the court summary saying I was acquitted. This sucks because I'm was not guilty of the crime. I'm embarrassed because it seems that I'm the only one in this situation. Please send me a message if you are in this same situation or if you have already been through this, so I know what to do.

You may consider talking to an immigration attorney about it. Andymisiu and aselano have done it (each for a different reason) through a live chat, I believe. PM them so you can get more info.

Good luck. :)

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Cam you also get in writing from the court that you cannot get a certified copy because it was expunged? Perhaps that along with the letters you received from the court and police departments saying you were aquitted may suffice. Other then that, you may just have to get legal advice, but cant see them telling you much different. If they are not available, one cant pull them out of ones butt. Keep us informed as to what happens. All the best.

Get a letter from Police or the court why you can not get a certified copy. I think, it is not a big deal. Not all arrests lead to conviction. I am sure, USCIS, Embassy know this.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
