Hi everybody. I am new here. I have few questions because I am confused. I filed 1-360, 1-485 and 1-765 all at the same time on April 11, 2010. Got my schedule for biometrics for 1-485, to be done on June 3, 2010. How long does it usually take to adjust status? Secondly, I got my Establishment of Prima Facie on May 11th. What does Prima Facie mean.Thirdly, I check my status for the Employmeny Authorization online and it says " On May 13th we requested a new card for you.Pls allow 30 days to receive your card" Does it mean my work permit is approved already and that I just need to wait for the card? Somebody told me that everytime you file an application there is a biometrics, including the 1-765, If so, why is it that there is a production of card for the work permit but no appointment for the biometrics yet? The only appointment for the biometics is for 1-485.. Anybody who knows about this please???I am here in US for 2 years now, without a job and I have a son..I really need to work.....

adjustment of status takes an average of 4-6 mos, but it could be longer/shorter dependeng on your specific situation, evidences, among other things

prima facie means at initial inspection it has been determined that you have proven/presented evidence of a case.

yes, your i-765 application was approved

since you applied for those 3 things all at the same time, only one biometrics is required

10-06-2008 Received my AP...yehey, i can go back to Phil for xmas!

11-14-2008 DMV driving test-passed! thank you Lord!

11-18-2008 Received RI driver's license

11-30-2008 Went home to PHILs for the holidays

12-21-2008 Church wedding!

01-08-2009 AOS Approved! thank you Lord! no interview required!

01-16-2009 Received GC in mail

09-02-2010 Sent out application for ROC

09-08-2010 Received NOA1

09-10-2010 Received Biometrics Notice

10-06-2010 Biometrics

12-06-2010 Approved! Thank you Lord God!

12-11-2010 Received NOA2 and 10-yr GC in the mail =)

N-400

10-03-2011 Sent N-400

10-07-2011 NOA1 date

10-25-2011 Biometrics

12-02-2011 Civics Test/Interview (passed)

04-09-2012 Oathtaking (got my little USA flag and souvenir photo!)

Thank you! Right now I don't care about anything else but a job. I need to have job to support me and my son. I read that the Establishment of prima facie can help me get aid from the government..that made me wonder why I have to have it...If i have a job I don't need any aid...huh!!!Thank you so much!!!
