IMO, it's not that useful UNLESS you can extract, print, and submit

Call Detail Records (CDR) from the Service Provider.

Many Service Providers have 'web portal access' to print this stuff.

If your Service Provider does not provide CDRs, then, IMO, this evidence will be useless. All you can show is that you bought them - you can't show that you used it to call yer lass.

got reciepts to prove that i used phone card to call my fiancee. -- if these receipts are the actual call detail records, then yes - is useful. Otherwise, no - is not useful.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

hi jv's

can i include prepaid phone card with i-129f application as a proof of ongoing relationship? i got reciepts to prove that i used phone card to call my fiancee.

thanks jv's

I called phone card customer service and they sent me the list of number I called using their card. However, for security reason they left a few numbers in the phone number with XXX. But I think that's good enough for USCIS.

Nov 25 2009 - While on vacation in Ukraine met my fiancee

Feb 20 2010 - Spent 8 amazing days in Caribbeans with my fiancee

April 16 2010 - Traveled to Ukraine

April 22 2010 - Returned to US

April 27 2010 - K1 filed

April 29 2010 - NOA 1

May 4 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - NOA 2!!!

July 06 2010 - NOA 2 Hard copy received

July 11 2010 - NVC still still didn't receive approved petition from USCIS. Sent inquiry via email to NVC regarding my case

July 13 2010 - USCIS claims that they sent my petition on July 6th to NVC. Sent inquiry to USCIS.

July 21 2010 - USCIS sent email saying approved petition was lost in transit, asking to submit duplicate copy in order to reconstruct my case

July 29 2010 - Duplicate copy sent to Vermont Service Center.

August 10 2010 - USCIS sent email. Original petition found

August 10 2010 - second NOA 2 issued.

August 12 2010 - NVC received petition

August 13 2010 - NVC forwarded the case to Kiev embassy !!!

September 6 2010 - Medical Exam

September 27 2010 - INTERVIEW!!!

September 27 2010 - Visa Approved!!!

October 5 2010 - Arrived to US!!!

...But I think that's good enough for USCIS.

Typically this level of detail is not required for the I-129F submission to the USCIS. You do not need to submit proof of ongoing relationship with the I-129F petition which is submitted to the USCIS.

On the other hand you do need to submit a great deal of evidence to substantiate an ongoing legitimate relationship for the interview at the Embassy in Manila which is under the auspices of the Department of State (DOS).

Manila is not one of the Embassies in the class where it is neccessary to "front-load" the petition or submit proof of an ongoing relationship in the I-129F petition.

RE: topic of phone records for Visa Interview purposes.

Many folks skimp out and get the cheapest way possible to call honey pie.

But they do not consider the record keeping aspect of the call for USCIS purposes.

THen, it comes time to printing out evidence to show USCIS that you have been communicating to Buttercup.

I gladly paid my cable co phone rates (lowest possible as designated by Phil. Mobile Phone Rates) to have professional phone logs arrive in the mail to me each month, and then just file it away in a folder (DONE).

I loved the convenience, and forgot that I could have saved .03 cents/minute by using the El Cheapo Phone Card Co.

What good are the calls, if they don't come with complete documentation proof?

One benefit is to hear pumkins voice now and then...

Anyhow, heres a question for some of you out there...

Has anyone ever used the records from Vonage? I have a Vonage Line at Buttercups home in Colombia, which we use to call back and forth...

In addtion, I have a Vonage account that I also use to call here on her cell.. Cheap International calls, and the call details are on the web which can be printed,, Does anyone see any issue with this type of evidence?

Nope, no problem at all, as those 'call details' are 'call detail records' - easy peasey to use as evidence. Yay !

Too bad you did not use Skype. Calling rates to land lines or cell phones are much less than cable, and CDRs (Call Duration Records) are available online for free. ;)

We used Vonnage and at our interview the CO looked at them and accepted them as proof, so you should not have any problem using Vonnage receipts

Another option is to use Nettalk or Magicjack in her country then you will have a record of the calls to/from your home or cell phone (as long as it's not another Magicjack).

I added my wife's Magicjack number to my A-List (AT&T Cell Phone) and had unlimited calling to her in the Philippines for the low rate of 300Php monthly (cost to add internet to their home phone service) with records on my monthly AT&T bill.

Nettalk is better than Magicjack in 2 ways:

. 1) No Computer Required.

. 2) Provides Call Records.
