That's the way to go.

While big gov is always wasteful be it local or national, the huge advantage to a a smaller fed and bigger State gov is.... competition; we can plainly see and compare what programs and what styles we like by comparing all these competitive governments.

When the Fed starts a program or dictates something.... we never know if we are doing better or worse under this law or program born to solve some problem.

Not only is it a monopoly idea... but you can't escape it short of leaving the country. (which exactly how monopolies work best)

I wonder though. You could look at the EU and see an example of your smaller fed / larger state government. Considering each EU country is like a US state where the state has much power and the Fed has very little.

I don't see how a collection of 25 or 30 nations bound together under less than 20 years is comparable.
