Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has ever got the letter about the notice of requirement to file joint petition to remove the conditional basis of an alien's permanent resident status from USCIS.

My green card will expire Sep. 15 2010. So I was thinking that I can file between June 15 and Sep. 15 if I am right.

Now I got the letter and I am worried when I need to file the form I 751.

I would appreciate if anyone can advise.

The letter is only a "heads-up" reminder that you need to file for removal of conditions, nothing to worry about. And you're right, you're eligible to file starting 90 days from the expiration of your current Greencard.

Wife's I-130:

03/15/2019 NOA1 (Nebraska Service Center)

02/11/2020 Case transferred to Vermont Service Center

02/02/2021 NOA2 الحمد لله

02/04/2021 Approval email
02/12/2022 NVC documents submitted

Actually, your 90 day window opens on June 17. Remembe, it's 90 days, not 3 monthswink.gif

If USCIS receive the package even 1 day earlier, they will send it back to yousmile.gif

It's a reminder letter - don't sweat it - but do review any prep work this summer, prior to filing..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Repeating what others have said - but the letter is a standard letter they send. It is a reminder from USCIS and nothing else. Just remember to put the package together as they explain in the instructions, mail it during the 90 day window and you are all set.

We received the letter as well. As others have stated, that does not change the requirement to file within the 90 day period prior to permanent residence card expiration. It is simply a friendly reminder.

I think some get it. some dont.. not really a big deal... just need to know when to file. i too didnt get any.

That's very normal - one of the many inconsistencies of USCIS. As long as you file, then you are doing your part!

I think if you've moved since you became a LPR you might not get the letter either. USCIS has a way of not updating addresses in the system properly after you send in AR-11.

NATURALIZATION
07-03-2013: Eligible to file
07-22-2013: Application sent (Delivered: 07-24-13)
08-05-2013: NOA1 received (Priority date: 07-24-13, Check cashed: 07-29-13)
08-22-2013: Biometrics (Received: 08-06-13, Walk-in: 08-08-13)
09-03-2013: Inline for interview (Yellow letter received: 10-23-13)
11-04-2013: Interview scheduled (Received: 11-09-13)
12-12-2013: Interview (Approved)
01-03-2014: Oath ceremony, passport application and passport received

DONE!

Ok, cool, thank you. I am so nervous about the whole thing and making myself (and my husband) crazy with reading horror stories on the internet and trying to do every little detail right. I am sure we're going to be fine, and we have nothing to hide, but still, I am nervous :D
